Hello everyone,
I currently have an order not showing on my dashboard, which was placed last week presumably.
The reason I know is the number of open orders I have doesn't match the actual number of orders I have and I also now have a big red overdue order box on my dashboard, which is sending my anxiety into overdrive.
I've made Etsy aware and they say that their dealing with it but I'm worried that because it's now over due it will be picked up by one of their not so smart AI bot thingys before Etsy deals with it and my shop will be suspended or funds witheld as seems to be the norm here now.
Has anyone else experienced this in the past and did it have any unfair negative effect on your shop?
@CornelDawn: There have been numerous posts about "ghost" orders recently. Have you checked your eMail order confirmations and your payments page to see if there really is an order?
I just did @BagmakerSupply thank you and it seems the order was placed on the 9th Sept so it's been ten days.
I only noticed because I got my open orders down to 5 before the weekend but the number showing was 6 and so I could see at a glace that something wasn't right. Then the overdue box showed up.
It might be worth any shops with a lot of open orders to physically count them and compare them to the number of open orders being shown, because it doesn't look like my case is an isiolated one.

Sometimes I don't think Etsy realizes how much fear sellers try to live with here. And distrust. It makes many sellers reluctant to make any changes, and grow their shops.
Examples:
I would love to change the bank account (number) where I receive my Etsy deposits. But OMGosh, I'd likely get shut down (for weeks?) for needing verification. I would stand to lose thousand$.
I had a (handmade) best seller taken down. I'd sold 113 of them, for a total of $18K. Poof! Gone! With no appeal available? One has to ask themselves, "What's the use, where's my motivation?"
And how does Etsy expect to ever grow the average $ale on the site? Not when auto-bots instantly refund, for any reason, any order totalling over $250.00. Many sellers are now very reluctant to list anything that would total over the $250 mark.
I completely agree @PristinityJewelry
They acknowledged the overdue order and that there was a problem Saturday and said they were dealing with it but they didn't know the time frame and if I wanted them to delete the order from their end to let them know.
I did but I've heard nothing back since. Two days of completely unncessary worry so far. looks like im in fo a long week.
Update of sorts. I just received a subsequent order, for a pearl Y necklace. When I look at my past sales (link) from my shop's front page, the thumbnail for the missing order then fell off, dissappeared.
