I don't know if this is a glitch or not (since it has been in the past), but I've gotten a sudden uptick of 4-star reviews (some with glowing written reviews). Although I get occasional 4-stars, it's very unusual for me to get several in a couple days. It's bringing my overall rating down quickly.
Has anyone else experienced this during the past week?
In the past, I believe the glitch was on the mobile app.
I almost always use the buyers app to leave a review and never had a problem leaving 5 stars.
When I get a 4 star review, I always send a follow up message to the buyer, asking what i could have done to earn that 5th star, how to better my customer service, etc. Nine times out of ten, they respond with "But I left 5 stars!". There is a glitch that happens sometimes that bumps stars down as they submit the review, bumping it down from 5 stars to 4 stars. Usually, the buyer will change it. It's really annoying! I've seen it happen when I left a review for someone; the 5th star disappeared as the submit was loading. I now know to watch for it and fix it immediately.
Now, I want to know how to leave a review with no words! No matter what platform I use, I am required to leave words with a review, but at least half of the ones left for my shop don't have words.
Every now and then I get a 4 star review but I don't worry about it. Some customers will never leave 5 stars.
I've seen Threads where the OP stated the Buyer told them they did not have the option to leave 4 Stars. Let me see if I can find something.

You can only do that on the buyer app ... if using computer, it requires a message.
