One of the features for Pattern sites is being able to create listings to show on your PATTERN SITE ONLY. You post through Etsy but can choose Pattern only.
However for over a year now, I have tried to post listings to my Pattern site only and it does not work correctly. None of the photos for the listing show up. Every time I've asked Etsy about it I get a canned response that Etsy is aware of it and that my feedback will be sent along to "the team". It is still not fixed.
Can anyone from Etsy confirm this is an issue you are actually going to fix, or are you sunsetting Pattern entirely?
If you are not fixing it, will you be decreasing the Pattern monthly fee since users are not getting the features we are paying for?
For other Etsy users: I am aware of allll the other many other platforms out there to build and maintain a separate site. I and many others use Pattern specifically for various reasons so I politely ask to keep comments about this issue with the Pattern site and not about the various other services out there.
I just want to hear what, if anything, Etsy will be doing anything about this.
You may need to change the theme of your shop and see if that works. Etsy is no longer supporting Pattern as far as fixing anything, I know before I closed my pattern shop I could only use one theme in order to have all of my photos show. I cannot remember which layout, but I would try each one until they show up.
thank you for the suggestion, I will definitely try thank.
Did an Etsy official confirm they were 100% no longer supporting Pattern or is it just something you experienced before you shut yours down?
@PunchyGifts: "Officially", no. But if you search this forum for issues with Pattern I think that you will find that the consensus from Pattern users is that at the very least Pattern support is at the bottom of the Etsy to-do list.
@PunchyGiftsI had submitted various help requests that were completely ignored, so that and seeing a lot of the forum posts like @BagmakerSupply mentioned. With all of the issues and lack of ability to create the site I wanted, it wasn't worth the monthly fee if I wasn't getting orders to cover it.
It seems the theme still matters. You might find this thread helpful:
Etsy still supports Pattern. Every once in a while, you can even find a support member that can help. But Etsy hasn't made a single change or improvement to Pattern in many years.
ty!
@PunchyGifts I have faced the same frustration. My solution is following, go to website editor --- Design ---- Listing Page --- select "Stacked Photos"
My shop is built on a Swatch theme.
