Ongoing Problems with Featured Items

I have ongoing issues trying to update my "Featured Items". I star/unstar listings and frequently have to do it multiple times to get it to work. I can unstar an item, it shows as unstarred, but continues to show up as a Featured Item. It just should not be this glitchy, nor should it take so much time to update these listings. Any suggestions, Etsy Tech? Thanks!

I've had this issue too.  I think it happens because all of Etsy is now stored on the "cloud" and it takes time to update.  Newly listed/renewed items don't show up right away either.

@SandiLaneFineArt You can now edit featured items in shop edit mode, instead of using the listing page feature edit. That always works for me. Right at the top of the page in Edit mode, it says "Featured Area to highlight listings." Click on that. That new feature may be why the listing page edit tool isn't quite working right now.

@ChristmasIsLove, thanks! This is an option for sure and I wasn't aware of it. The Featured Items edit has frequently been glitchy for years but this may be the way to go to avoid starring/unstarring for what seems like forever!

Featured listings are not updating for me either no mate how many times I try adding stars they do not appear

@Former_Member Are you marking the Featured Listings by using shop edit accessed through the pencil icon on your shop name on the Shop Manager dashboard? That's the only way you can get them to work. Trying to do it through the shop Edit button on your shop home page seems to no longer work for some features. Rearrange needs to be done through the pencil icon edit mode as well.

@KKbraceletsandmoreis absolutely correct - Etsy clearly is using server side caching (and with distributed servers. aka "the cloud") pages like a shop's home page often do not seem to update for quite some time.

The suggestions are helpful but really, it just shouldn't be so difficult
