Hi etsy support team,
last month I created digital custom order for my customer and in my star seller budges added new section "On-time shipping & tracking"
and marked "1 order missing tracking info"
so I lost my star seller in this month...
I selling only digital files,
can you remove this section from my shop please and back my star seller budge
Kind regards
Oh man, the infringement is killing me....
This is fellow sellers in this forum, not actual Etsy staff, so we can't help you with your issue.
But you might not want them looking at your shop to begin with....
Infringements galore......and the amount of sales makes me want to bang my head on the wall and shout 'it's not fair!!' like an aggrieved toddler.
Hoooooly crap. Even the shop sections infringe.
Some days I just can't even.
*sigh*
ETA: was there some sort of infringers unite and flood the forums bulletin put out? This is like the 5th store just today with infringing items. Hope the OP has some deep pockets.
Good grief
If you have licenses for the iconic images and names you are using, it would be a very good idea to add them.
To answer your question. Did you use the made to order digital? If not and used a physical order that is why you lost star seller. Physical listing requires tracking especially in the US for all items.
@PartyCreatorBoutique: Did you set the listing up as 'physical' instead of 'digital'? ALL listings set up as physical require tracking for Star Seller regardless of what the end product is. There is more information about how to do a custom digital listing at https://community.etsy.com/t5/Announcements/We-ve-improved-our-made-to-order-digital-listing-experie...
"can you remove this section from my shop please and back my star seller budge" If you set the listing up incorrectly, there is nothing that can be done after the fact. And just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
As mentioned, you need to include the licensing information for all of the trademarked and copyrighted names and images in your shop in your listing, otherwise buyers (and Etsy) may conclude they are counterfeits. And a buyer could file a not as described case against you and both get their money back and keep the item. Including the licensing information will show that you are not selling those items illegally and people in the forum will be to help you.
Presumably you discussed your business plan of using other people's intellectual property (IP) with a qualified IP attorney. Did they (and any licensing agreements you have) not mention the need to disclose the permission to use the property with any sales materials, such as Etsy listings? And that using them without permission is tantamount to theft? You admit in your listings that you are aware that you are intentionally and consciously using other people's IP for your personal enrichment.
Selling what appears to be counterfeits could also get your shop shut down. You should review your licensing agreements to see what you need to include in your listings so that there is no question that they are both legal and Etsy-legal.
If you do not have permission, you should be much more concerned about the intellectual property owner showing up at your door with a court order to confiscate EVERYTHING that was used to create, manufacture, and / or market the infringing items.
Not to mention the legal fees and fines that you could be liable for.
Plus we are not supposed to help shops that are breaking the law or Etsy rules.
Oh this one is easy ... tips@disneyantipiracy.com
Why can't we "thumbs up" the same response a million times?
I have this long list of IP reporting addresses. I add to it frequently. Maybe it helps. Maybe it doesn't. But it sure makes me feel better.
