My star sellers status was not awarded this period due to 92% on time response rate for messages. I dowloaded my CSV file and had one message in November that was a late response. There are several messages that are not accounted for in my CSV file of messages - Last message listed was from 1-17-23. When I do my calculations I am at the 95% required status for the on time badge. I had several on time messages between the 17th and 31st that are not listed. Etsy -Please review my on time messages for the time period and advise.
normally ones at the end of the month, are counted in the next month, to allow for catchup, and replying in time, it can be up to 3 days,
but they are counted in the next month,
so if you had any messages at end Oct, they would have been rolled through
etsy doesn't review them, and definitely not here in the sellers forum
My score has dropped to 92% due to using the cancel order feature, which sends the buyer a separate message telling them they have been refunded, therefore the original message requesting a refund appears to be unanswered.
Not happy about this. Messaged etsy, there response they can not adjust the score and basically make sure I spam every message received. Something I do not want to have to do. I will not be using the cancel order feature again.

that is correct,
you have to reply to each new message thread, they are highlighted in blue, so you can't miss them.
putting a note on an order or cancellation, is not replying to a message thread, it is completely separate
They told you to spam all the messages you received? Isn't the issue just with one message?
@Former_Member
„I will not be using the cancel order feature again.“
Next time just answer the message / help request directly and then cancel.
@Former_Member
Geez.......another reason not to trust anything Etsy support tells you.
WTH would support tell you to SPAM all messages?
That makes ZERO sense since all messages you get are not spam.
How long does it take to reply to a message?
Why not use the cancel order again? What if someone else wants you to cancel an order? Are you going to mail it anyway?
If you do, you're going to have a ticked off buyer and possible have a case filed. Then if Etsy refunds from "your" account, you're not only out the money but the item.
It helps to understand the rules on etsy and the star seller rules.
It has a blue highlight box stating you have a new message and it needs to be replied to.
@vintageNCtreasures
I guess they just meant the messages @Former_Member got dinged for.
@dippeldiundscribble but it didn't sound like this based on what @Former_Member wrote " Messaged etsy, there response they can not adjust the score and basically make sure I spam every message received."
So either that seller misunderstood what support told them and they meant ONLY that 1 message OR support did tell them to spam every message received.
It‘s also possible that I misunderstood the sentence.
I read received and thought of it as a past tense.
