a customer marked their item shipped late which marks me unqualified for the star seller status.. However i shipped every single one of my items within the 1-2 day processing time that i have set in my settings.. doesnt Etsy notice that item was in pre-transit within the timeframe ? buyers should not be able to claim bogus statements when the data is easily retrievable on the site.. sellers should be safeguarded automatically. What do i do now to make this right with my shop
@ModernKnights: As mentioned, Star Seller shipping is based only on information YOU provide. You need to check the applicable CSV file on your Star Seller page to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes.
Buyers cannot mark their items as late.
Buyers have no way of marking their item as shipped late. Where are you seeing this?
Customers do not mark orders shipped late. They do not mark the orders at all. Etsy does, based on the info that you provide them. Pre-transit does not necessarily mean "shipped". Once a label is printed, the order will be in the Pre-transit phase until a scan is done by the post office. Etsy does not know if a seller prints a label (pre transit status) and then does not mail it. They do not know that it has actually been mailed until it has been scanned by the shipper you have used.

Thank you, I'm fairly new. ill dive deeper into this. on the CSV file one of my sales has "Shipped on time?" = No ; not sure how to expand on that information thought
@ModernKnights: If you look at the actual order (preferably via a browser) you can see information about the completed date you chose (shows as ship date), the shipping company, and the tracking number. If in the CSV file the "tracking/label date" (the completed / ship date) is after the "ship by" date then the the order was shipped late.
The client requested by email that the shipping date be delayed which made my record for shipping look like I was overdue because I had no way of adjusting the shipping date.
@SweetTWreathDesigns: Take a look at "How do I update the “ship by” date for an order?" on https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015588087-How-to-Set-Processing-Times-and-Ship-By-Dates?s...
Remember that you can only do it once and you have to do it before the existing scheduled to ship by date.
@SweetTWreathDesigns Etsy gives you a way of adjusting the shipping date ... click on the 3 vertical dots to the right of an order and from there you can choose "update shipping" ... Etsy allows you to extend the shipping date out to a max of 3 weeks.
Thank you! My problem now is that I don't know how to make sure that Etsy is not showing me as shipping late because I didn't know there was another option regarding shipping.
@SweetTWreathDesigns: "I don't know how to make sure that Etsy is not showing me as shipping late" Unfortunately the scheduled ship by date cannot be changed retroactively.
