On Time Shipping: Star Review

When a client orders two orders, they qualify for Priority Mail.  Not only do they get a ship credit. Their packages ship together and arrive faster. 

The technical difficulties are:  The site doesn't consider the two orders shipping out on time or with tracking for the Star Review app. I click completed and I add the: tracking number.  Because I shipped early, green shipper and client gets a credit for ship; I am deducted star review points, as it shows the 2nd order as not trackable.  

Etsy: YOU CLAIM TO BE GREEN:  Yet you do not have a site that reflects it!  PLEASE STEP UP: CREATE A FEATURE TO SEND CLIENTS ORDERS: Early, together and GIVE US A BETTER REVIEW OPTION.

Here is what I do when I combine shipments to the same buyer.  I calculate box size and shipping for both orders on the same label and then I add that tracking info manually and mark the 2nd order complete.  That usually solves the tracking issue with the 2nd order.  I do my labels on Etsy.com and when I add tracking info I use the app.  Perhaps that is what you do as well, for me I have not had an issue.

This is what I do too. You can add the same tracking number to the second item if you sent them together.

@InspiringDesignDIY  I combine orders frequently and still have Star Seller.  After purchasing the label, I add the tracking number to the 2nd order.  Then both orders have tracking.  

If you use ShipStation for buying postage, they actually have a "combine orders" button and will send tracking to both orders to Etsy automatically.  I no longer use their services, so I do it manually.  I think I'm going to send this suggestion to PirateShip, who I currently use.

I have never had an issue with combining orders and attaching the same tracking number to multiple orders. 99% of my orders ship early (I have it set to 3-5 days processing, to account for holidays like tomorrow, but almost everything ships on day 2). The only thing is sometimes it can take up to 48 hours for the metrics to update. When did you combine and ship your orders?

Also, how are you adding the tracking for the second order? My understanding is that even if copy and pasting, if it's not exact, if there is so much as an extra space before or after the tracking number, Etsy's system can't recognize it. It has to be exact. 

You have up to 3 days after entering a number to update it. If you ever have to manually enter a tracking number (even copy & pasting) it's a good idea to go back after a day or two and make sure it was accepted and it shows movement on Etsy's end. That way you have time to check if there's something wrong and get it fixed.

@InspiringDesignDIY: Are you marking BOTH orders as completed with the same shipping company, tracking number, and completed date? We do this all the time (sometimes for three or four orders shipping in one package) and the worst we have experienced is that sometimes the second order takes an extra day before is shows as in transit.
