On Etsy is a new generation fraud. Beware of scammers.

With Etsy's new update, you cannot see who sent messages from users and you cannot click on the customer's profile. This is a great open door for scammers. Profiles posing as Etsy officials ask for your email address and ask you to ship the product to their address as if an order has been made. Also you can't mark these incoming fake messages as spam in the mobile application, you can sign as spam only on your coputer. Etsy does not send you messages such as "You get an order, check your email address". Everyone should be very careful and Etsy should find a solution to this security vulnerability urgently.

I want to know who sent me messages and access their profile, just like before.

Both of these announcements appeared on the forum home page. Try to make it a habit of visiting the forums frequently for the most up to date information on this and other topics.

I can still see who sent a message and click on them to view their profile.

If you can't, it's because etsy has already removed the profile that sent the message.

On android mobile app I can not see the who sent to me and I can't mark as spam.

Contact Etsy about the issue on the mobile app.  The more people approach them with this issue the more likely they are to fix it.

Now does your phone have any extensions that may be blocking? 

And the other is do you have browser access on your phone?  Log in and check if you have a suspicious message. 

WE can't expect Etsy to do everything.  Sellers must be proactive too.

I get numerous scam emails sent to my website daily, and to my various email addresses, scam messages through social media, and have even received scam messages via text and scam phone calls are still a thing.

People, in general, need to be proactive.  If they can't navigate scams on Etsy, they are equally likely to be scammed elsewhere.

I reported all recent suspicious messages to Etsy. I can not accepting that Etsy protects customers but leaves sellers unprotected. These messages requesting email did not happen before because we could see their profiles. It would be nice to be able to click on the profile owners of incoming messages like before.

@RamoryTeeArt you still can click on a message to see the profile of the sender. If you can't, it means Etsy has already taken action to remove the scammer. 

Going forward, just mark as spam and move on.

I don't use the app expect to get notifications, to do anything on my phone I use the browser.
