I've reported the following as a technical issue via chat. |
Thought I would share in case anyone else is experiencing same. |
Most all of my listings ( when viewed as a potential buyer would ) |
are featuring 2 older negative reviews that have nothing to do with the item |
and also 2 of 5 star reviews. Note, most all of my 700 + reviews are 5 star. |
This gives a potential buyer a misleading view that half of my reviews are bad. |
The same 2 older negative reviews are appearing in most all of my 300 plus listings views. |
Of course this is negatively effecting sales. |
The reason I believe this is a technical issue is I recently renewed |
a listing that was inactive for awhile and this listing only shows |
recent 5 star reviews. |
This leads me to believe I should deactivate all of my listings, put my |
shop on vacation and try renewing at a later date ….. OR |
Etsy fixes this technical issue. |
Of course I have been given the standard reasons why this is |
happening, none of which really makes sense or pertain to my particular |
situation. I'll keep trying to escalate the issue for investigation. |
Hello!
Prior to posting in a thread in the Forums, we ask that you please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a few months (or years, even). If that is the case, and you still would like to share your thoughts and get the conversation going - whether about this or similar topics, we ask that you start your own thread instead of bumping an old one - or check if there are currently active (i.e., ongoing) threads about this subject.
Please note that reviving old threads can cause confusion for members reading, so always check the dates of the most recent replies before posting. You can find this information on the top-left corner of each message, just below the member's username and profile picture.
Having said that, we are closing this thread as in fact, for this specific concern, we already have other, ongoing threads covering it and there is no need to bump an older thread to discuss this very same subject.
Thank you!

@HotCornDiggity @Here’s a recent (and ongoing) thread about this very issue. Etsy doesn’t seem inclined to help…..at all. Their justifications for it are just bizarre and some sellers have resorted to reporting it to the FTC:
Thank you - I joined that thread as well.
I've seen a few other posts about this same issue. One person said Etsy told them it was part of a "test"... take that with a grain of salt but it may be the case. I'd reach out to etsy themselves through the support page. Maybe if enough people contact them about it they will fix the issue.
has anyone seen any improvements?
