Hi! Has anyone had issues with the number of items sold not reflecting in your shop profile? We recently sold a number of items but its not reflecting in our items sold count. Would you know how to fix this?
You can't fix that. Not everything on Etsy updates in real time.
@DiwaFilipinoCrafted Etsy doesn't count individual items if they are purchased in multiples.
Example: A single order with a red shirt, a blue hat, and green pants will show as 3 sales in your shop. It will also be a really colorful outfit!
On the other hand, if a Buyer purchases 3 of the red shirts (not sure if different sizes count?) - it will show as one sale in your shop.
* Anyone know if the three red shirts, in my example, added to cart 3 times because they are different sizes, but from the same listing, and the same order from thee same Buyer - would count as one or three sales?
Were the items possibly sold in bulk? When I've sold packs of the same print to retailers in the past the sale will show up as a single item sold even though 100 to 500 physical prints were sold. This is because they are the same exact listing item.
Systems can also display temporary slower updates. It's possible the sales will show up shortly.
Etsy also seems to be making a lot of changes right now. I've noticed quite a few problems with the site recently which haven't been worked out. Some of these have been brought to their attention a few weeks ago without resolve. Etsy does an extreme amount of testing on their site. Some of these tests have lead to very useful selling tools. But, it also appears they don't have a good double checking system so there have been problems with data changing mistakes in the past. And since Etsy has poor customer service fixes are often slow. So patience may be needed if this is the issue.
