Number in Shop Manager

I keep getting the number one appearing on my shop manager icon. I do not have an order, my shop visibility is all good, and there are no C/S issues. There is no reason for the number to keep randomly appearing. Is this happening to anyone else?

Look at your dashboard. It's probably a notification from Etsy.

The last one I got was for the QuickBooks thingamajig. Not a sale, not a message, but an ad for a third-party product. Annoying.

Mine was Etsy trying to flog a Xero accounting package.

Yep.  That's what mine was.  I do not need or want a Xero accounting package.  I wish they'd just stick to flagging up actual sales instead of everything else as well.

I got a red 1 yesterday in Finance, yet when I clicked on Finance there was nothing there. I went through them all, nothing. Really worrying.

After refreshing the page a new section appeared. Clicking on it, to make the red 1 go away, took me to a third party website.

We should not be forced to visit third party website's to make these red numbers disappear. Clearly Etsy is getting commission for pushing accounting software.

Not impressed!

I often get the red dot and I get all excited thinking I have a sale and then it just disappears and I've sold nothing.  The latest one was in Finances and it was a push for Xerox accounting.  Just stop it Etsy, it's annoying.

It was to tell you about Xero partnering with Etsy.  I was quite excited at this as I already use Xero but it's not working.  Anyone had any luck with it?
