Notifications: sale & messages received

I use the Etsy app on my iPhone. Unlike another selling site, with Etsy I don’t get a numerical notification on the home screen app icon for Etsy so I know that I have activity ( sale or message) on my dashboard. I do get emails. It’s a pain because I have to frequently bring up the app to see if anything is going on that needs attention. Contacted support via chat but they were no help- had already done things they suggested. Anyone  know how I can get motivations?

There are a number of threads reporting similar issues. The consensus seems to be to manage orders and messages via a browser not the app.

Did you turn on notifications on your iphone along with also turning them on in the app?? Is your iphone a newer one? Because Etsy stopped updating for the older iphones awhile ago. I have an iphone and I get notifications. If all else fails.. you can delete the app and reinstall it again-- lots of the time that resets things.
