I've had Star Seller every month this year until now.
I listed a few items discounted as imperfect by copying the main listings for those products, changing the titles, prices, and descriptions to reflect the imperfections.
5 purchases were made through those listings in July and were shipped on time in conjunction with my other shipping times.
Hey There,
The On-time shipping metric is the percentage of orders that are shipped within the order’s processing time, so if there is no processing time set up it will automatically tag against the score. You can read more about it here.
I highly recommend making sure all your listings have processing time or are associated with a shipping profile that has a processing time, especially when using the app or third-party application. Learn more on how to set up processing time here.
Thanks!
Hello @HandcraftedMemes,
After checking the orders that affected your Star Seller, it appears that they were all created on the Legacy Sell on Etsy app and they have a Calculated Shipping profile setup at the time of purchase. Since Calculated Shipping Profile isn't supported on the Legacy Sell on Etsy app, the listing didn't have a processing time.
We recognize how important the selling app is to running a business on the go and we want to continue to invest in the selling app. Since the old selling app was using technology that made it was difficult to build new features. We're working on creating The new Etsy Seller app which is designed to be a modernized seller-only mobile experience for Android devices, iPhones, and iPads. We’re excited to make this investment so we can keep bringing new improvements to the app. You can learn more about the Etsy Seller app in this Help Article.
Thank you very much!
I know the help center article about star seller directs you to post in this forum if you have an issue with star seller but etsy changed this a peer to peer support forum a couple of years ago so it's just us sellers here. If you want to reach etsy support you will need to contact them directly through the support ticket system. Keep in mind that etsy support can't and won't make any changes to star seller so it may be a frustrating waste of time to try to contact support. Note that live chat support and phone call back support options are just call center folks and they pretty much just go by what help center says so don't be surprised if they tell you to post in this forum too.

The problem is that your app on mobile works very poorly and a new "custom listing" option on PC also has a ton of issues- one of them- you not being able to add processing time. So you're saying that the sellers are penalized because ETSY platform has issues with their app.
I didn't think you could even post a listing without a processing time?
Wow, an answer from admin!

A new app in the works does not solve the issue of sellers being penalized NOW for a non functioning Etsy product.
