Notes Section Glitch?

If a customer sends a request in my messages, and I open the order from the messages section and add a private note, the note portion that I wrote does not transfer over to the sold orders section.

For example, customer requested a color change, so I wrote it in the notes, however, the next day when I went to process the order, the note that I had made did NOT show on it and I sent out the wrong color. 

She received the order and let me know, and yet in the message section where I am writing her, I can see the notes with the color change. 

Why does it not transfer over to the actual order?

The note should show on the receipt. Did you check there.

I dont print the receipts. It used to transfer over to the sold order page but now it doesn't

Etsy probably changed it for some unknown reason.

@girlygifts07, this might be an unfortunate consequence of the recent merging of buyers' message threads into one.  I used to find it helpful to see conversations about an order attached to that specific order, especially for repeat customers; now it's more or less a crap shoot, and I've given up.

I do print packing lists, however, and have checked off "print private notes."  I copy/paste some messages there, in order to see them when I'm packing orders.
