Can you explain more about the situation?
@FreshLineSoap You have 1 item listed and I see $4.15 for shipping.
You should see the item price and the shipping cost in your finance section > payment account MINUS any fees owed on that sale.
FYI you cannot make any medical claims about this soap, like brightening skin and helping dark spots.
It's against Etsy rules to make any type of medical or healing claims in items you make.
I am in NC also and I get $4.20 for shipping???
@mommawhazelsquilts
Even though we're both in NC, we in different zones.
That is why you see $4.20 and I see $4.15.
Thank you very ,much for the heads up! Appreciated!
You get credited by Etsy for the shipping you charge (minus their fees), but then Etsy charges you for the shipping label if you buy it through them. If the Etsy shipping label is purchased before your money is transferred to your bank - you essesntially never receive the money.
If you pay another shipper or post office instead of buying from Etsy, then your bank deposit will include what you charged (minus Etsy fees).
Hi bohemias! So I did'nt use the shipping label from etsy and they never deposited the shipping value to me. DO you know how I should proceed?
I'm not really sure. It could have something to do with a payment reserve for new shops, but I don't really know too much about them. They didn't have it when I opened my shop.
@FreshLineSoap Finish your shop and remove all medical and other claims.
Add your location - I won't buy from a shop that doesn't tell me where they are located. Also, having your location helps in getting you found in Etsy search, although with one item.....
Thanks for all the tips... Still very new to Etsy and trying to get all done. Any other recommendations are appreciated!
@FreshLineSoap Go to your shop manager > finances > payment account. You can then see what Etsy charged your customer when it sold.
Another way to check is to go to to your shop manger > listings > sold listings and see that your listing had a postage cost.
And make sure you haven't accidently checked free shipping or free domestic shipping in your shipping profiles.
