My shop is not allowing orders to go through it keeps telling the customer "We are unable to process your order and gives the money back
?" is there something I did wrong or something wrong with the site? and how do you reach customer services? plus why does it keeps saying I have a negative balance?
"is there something I did wrong"? -- You forgot to add the licensing information in your trademarked items. If you don't have a license, remove these items ASAP, before they appear in your Sold and Reviews or before Etsy removes them for you.
You opened your shop (set-up fee) + listed items (at least 3 x $0.20) + maybe turned on Ads. As of now, you have no sales. That's why you have a negative balance.
Well, maybe they are trying to buy one of your IP infringement items (aka counterfeit items). Malcolm X . OR, maybe it is a scammer targeting your new shop because of your illegal items..............
PLEASE read the information offered in the Seller Handbook (link at top of page) regarding IP infringements.
Those aren't legitimate buyers trying to make a purchase. Those are scammers that target new shops. You didn't respond to them or click any links, did you?
You have a negative balance because it costs money to list items. If and when you make a sale, those fees will be taken from your profit. If you don't sell anything this month, you'll have to pay any fees you owe on the first of the month.
But yeah, get rid of the Malcolm X shirts.
^^^^This
When you get messages that they can't process your order, that is scammers hoping to engage you and get banking info and passwords from you to steal your money or identity.
Unfortunately, you're a prime target for scammers for a number of reasons, but especially because your shop is new and unfinished. Remove the IP items; design and upload a banner appropriate to what you're selling; include a Shop announcement to provide a brief overview of your shop; declare your production partner (unless you're making these T-shirts and screen printing them yourself); Create an About section to share the inspiration behind your designs; set up your policies and frequently asked questions. Best to you.
@LadyTripleTBoutique: If they are legitimate buyers, then payment issues are exclusively between them and Etsy (and their payment processors), There is nothing a shop can do until after the payment and order has been accepted as they are not yet a party to the transaction. The buyer needs to contact Etsy directly as Etsy is forbidden to provide details to a shop.
But as pointed out by others, this is very likely a scam attempt particularly if they try to get you to go off the site.
New shops are a target, incomplete shops (like yours) are more attractive targets and are also hurting themselves in organic search.
You may want to ask for help in a forum like https://community.etsy.com/t5/Shop-Critiques/bd-p/shop-critiques?ref=gnav Your item descriptions sound like cut and paste from the Print On Demand provider's site about the shirt and do not describe the actual item. Presumably you have made sure that any names and images you are using are not trademarked or copyrighted and that you have permission to use them.
@LadyTripleTBoutique Hi, It sounds like you've been targeted by scammers, and I'm sorry about that. They tend to target new Sellers, often appearing within seconds after someone lists an item/s. I have been seeing an increase of new Sellers coming to the Forum lately; some are being bombarded with Messages from scammers. You don't expect to start fresh on a site, and immediately get hit with this garbage. And as a new Seller, I can see where you could be caught by it; it could happen to anyone.
Many scammers are posing as "Buyers", stating they need your email for an Order. They don't, Etsy already has it. They are trying to get you to input your banking info, so they can steal from you. When you receive a LEGIT Order, it will appear in "Orders & Shipping" (Left Column of Shop Dashboard); if it isn't there, you have no Order. Mark the scammer's Message as Spam (so you don't get dinged for S Seller). And never click on links or engage with them.
"Verification" is a popular scam, as well as posing as Etsy Staff/Support, etc. Scanning of QR Codes is another. When you receive a LEGIT Message from Etsy Support/Staff, etc., it will appear in the "From Etsy" Folder (in Messages). If it isn't there, Mark the Message as Spam (so you don't get dinged for S Seller).

Hope this is helpful to you, and may this garbage cease for you and for others. Best Wishes to you.
Not that I'm going to buy a counterfeit item, but I had no problem with being able to purchase HAD I WANTED TO.
