Over the last two days, I have noticed that new help requests from customers are not coming to my inbox with enough time to respond within 24 hours. I am receiving some notifications for a help request that say the request is 12-18 hours old but when I click on the message, the help request is actually 2 days old.
I have also noticed that help requests are not merging into one chat with other messages from customers - should they?
Other current messaging issues include not receiving messages at all, and not being able to see new ones unless I look at message history. Some of these messages are spammed multiple times.
Please advise for any resolutions.

No. Help requests will always create new threads.
@inblue: Are you having this issue using an Etsy app (on which operating system) or via mobile browser or desktop browser (which browser and operating system)? It makes a difference as to possible causes and potential solutions, otherwise we have to guess. If you are using an app, there are lots of threads with similar issues and the consensus is to use a (desktop) browser to manage orders and messages.
you need to use a browser, the app isn't for anything important.
A help request is always it's own thread, as that's when the 48 hours start for them to be able to open a case - so it's a new thread, and highlighted inblue
had a double-take there with your shop name
