Not Received Message Alerts

I just found a message from 5 days ago and I never received an alert. No alert on the app or in the shop on my computer.

I only know I have that message from 5 days ago because they sent a second message just now and saw the first message they sent!!

There is no way I would have missed that message!! If anything... Im obsessive with checking my shop!

Dont know if the first message hit spam or I just didnt get the red bubble/app alert...

@BlushandRosie  I'm wondering if it's the App. I've never used it, but with my desktop computer, I get that red alert "1" above the Shop Manager icon. Everyone says the App is glitchy though.

Yeah I dont depend on the app at all.

This was the first message Ive received from an actual customer, every other was spam.

Now Im dinged to 50% message rate and customer thinks I dont respond...

@BlushandRosie Oh boy, sorry about that. Must be something glitchy going on with Messages. I always get the red alert, but you didn't.

I have not gotten alerts from Etsy in Months..BUT I do get notifications with sound from my email. And I pretty much have my iPhone with me 24/7. So all is good here. The cha-ching on the app stopped working for me maybe 6 months or so ago.. I got rid of the app. I use a browser window on all my devices. ( yes- all my devices are up to date).

Make sure you get email notifications and make sure you can get sound on your email. And check your etsy account maybe more often than you do?

The app is just for I hope to hear the cha ching! LOL

Im going to turn on email when I get a message now.

I turned them all off except orders incase something happened and I can still have buyer/order info to ship, etc.

I check my shop so often I didnt think I needed the email notification... Ugh.

I thought that too once... lol-- but I turned on email notifications and now I might get more chimes on my phone from email but I don't miss anything. Not sure what is up with the missing cha-ching-- that was the only reason I had the app-- but when that stopped doing it's thing- I just deleted it.. now I am used to the chimes from my email and am ok with it.  I use my laptop a lot.. I can't say that is the only thing as it is not- but my devices are all linked.

Funny I went right after I posted to change it and Etsy logged me out and had to use a text code to log back in?!

I swear there is glitchy things going on with my shop!

I stopped getting message alerts on the app a few weeks ago. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and that didn't change anything.
