No reply from Etsy customer service

I have reached out by submitting an email to Etsy's customer service 6 times now in the last week - I have gotten plenty of their "sale" emails and automated response emails about checking the help pages, but I have written additional emails to say nothing on the help pages are helping my problem, and restating the issue. I am a new seller and have closed down my shop due to this because I do not want to get any more sales if I can't fix this problem for my very first customer. I have even tried calling different numbers listed online trying to speak with someone at Etsy with no luck. Is there any other ways to get this issue of mine corrected from Etsy? This is by far the worst customer service i have ever dealt with, and I will not be opening back up my shop on Etsy and utilizing a different platform.

Did you start new emails each time or respond to the automated email that was sent the first time? It's better to respond to the email each time you get one.

I’m having problems of my own so I’m following this thread to see what others say. In my case, I’m getting answers but they’re so general, they’re useless and no one is actually looking at my account to see what the problem is (I’m supposed to be able to download my 1099K but can’t)! I’m starting to think email support is purely automated & no humans are actually there. How can I get an actual person to check my tax page & fix the download? I’m a US citizen with only 1 shop who meets all the requirements for a 1099K. There’s no logical reason the download shouldn’t be there.

Have you checked to make sure all the information matches what the IRS has on file for you?  Maybe there was a typo or incorrect information input that is not allowing the 1099K 

You can also ask for a paper copy as well.

Honey, your on your own...Etsy won’t help you...the phone numbers will just lead you to some automated recording... just trying to get someone to answer you back is next to impossible :(

All I can think of is if this was your first sale, there can be delays in payment.  Did you check your email for something from Etsy?  Did they require additional information from you?  Sometimes they require uploading of information from you before proceeding.  Check your spam folder just in case there was an email.

@TastefulCharm If you outline your specific issues here, it is quite possible that someone will be able to help you. Most of us on the Forum have been here for years and know how to work around a lot of things.

Regarding your emails to Etsy: Someone above suggested you Reply to the Admin letter you get in response to your issue. That is the best approach - better than starting a new email.  The other thing that seems to get a more thoughtful response from Etsy is to take screen shots if you are getting error messages or if things seem broken. Attach screen shots, each time you contact Etsy, to your original email to Etsy and to all subsequent replies. 

Regarding the level of customer service, welcome to Etsy. If someone here cannot help you, you just have to be persistent with your emails and include screen shots and try not to let your blood pressure get too high when you read one of the Etsy Admin responses.

I see I am not alone here.. Etsy is not responding to my emails at all now. It is wrong tax information that they can not fix. I'm registered in Norway and I am not allowed to add a VAT but Etsy does this anyway. I can not delete my VAT number.  Maybe someone here can help with advise?

I’ve also tried since Christmas to get a response but heard nothing from customer services. If I close my account can I start again with same email and register again or will it automatically open the same account up?

You couldn't use the same email.  Each account needs a unique email address.
