No notifications on Sell on Etsy App

Hi all

For the past 3 weeks I have not received any notifications on my App.

I have deselected and deselected notifications on my phone settings and the App, deleted the App and reinstalled and still no joy. Any advice???

Did you check your phone settings?  Sometimes updates to the app resets the permissions you need to check, depending on your phone.  Also check your sound level for notifications.

This has been an issue for quite a while.  It is frustrating!  I came to this board today to see if I am missing something, but I do not think I am.  Have installed, deleted, reinstalled, have notifications turned on, etc.  For me, the notifications EVENTUALLY come in, but anywhere from hours later to a day later.  Just got one from this morning from a sale that was made yesterday and already shipped.  I am a full time reseller, so on my desktop a great portion of the day, so I catch sales and messages that way for the most part.  My big issue is selling on multiple platforms, as is necessary to avoid bankruptcy that would result from having all my eggs in one basket, I need to know immediately when something sells so that the sold item can be deleted from other platforms.  It is also important to be able to immediately respond to clients who email via the convo system.  My PHONE APP is the tool that I use when doing task away from the desktop computer, it is critical to maintaining HIGH quality customer service.  Etsy Tech, please address this issue, Thank YOU!!

Hi, l no longer get notifi cations on my locked screen or the sound when I sell on Etsy. I knew I shouldn’thave updated the app. The only way I know if I’ve made a sale is via email. I don’t even have the number of sales on the app icon any more.

It is nice that the messages in Convo don’t jump around as much when you try to correct them. Considering that thousands of apps function properly with letting you make a correction and also easily send notifications. It is a mystery. And yet they shut the other one down.

There are lots of threads in this forum about issues with the apps. The consensus seems to be to manage orders and messages via a browser to be safe.

I am also having issue getting notifications when someone buy something. It doesn't app up from the app anymore but via email and that's not what I want. To be on track, please fix whatever is causing such. I always have to click on the app to see if I get orders or not and it's frustrating

it's fine on my iPad but on my phone, I get no notifications at all. I replied late to so many messages from customers. This needs to be fixed.

I’ve just found this thread after my first order now being delayed. No email notification and no app notification. The first I knew was an email from Etsy saying “We hope you’re as excited as we are about your first sale on Etsy!” 

Great stuff Etsy but now my first Etsy customer is right fully disappointed. I’m fuming! 

Does anyone know how to contact Etsy to resolve or had a successful response from them? I’ve tried their UK number and it just says it’s no longer in use. Everything on the app points me to faq’s. It’s very frustrating for me and my customer.

@Lambyscreative: There are NO phone numbers for Etsy (any you find on Google will be scams). A quick search will show you innumerable threads in this forum about issues with app and eMail notifications. The consensus is that a seller needs to check their store (at least daily) via a browser.

I’ve been having the same issue all week.  I’ve been having to refresh the app every few hours to make sure I see messages and orders when they come in.  My notifications are on and work for everything else.  iPhone.  Not hearing the cha Ching is severely affecting my anxiety as I think I’m just not making any sales which isn’t true.  I think there’s some kind of bug.  I liked the old app better.
