No listing description!

I just looked at my shop listings and there are NO descriptions for any of them!!! What's going on?

Surprise!  You're in the Hide the Important Info test.

Look under the listing photos and you'll see Item Details and a down arrow.  Click the arrow.

It's now a drop down under the image.

Thank you!  Thank you! I was really freaking out!   I found them but I don't think it was one of Etsy's  best moves.   I think that might explain in part why my sales are down 70% from last year.  If I can't find the size and details of my own items   how many buyers can't either!

I noticed that the Materials list is also gone. I used to use that for backup to my description, front and centre important info for buyers.

Could this depend on what country you are in? Your item descriptions and materials are clearly visible to me in Australia. Nothing has changed. I went into your shop and looked at six of your items for sale and the information is clear under ‘Read Item Description.’

@Babyweartreasures: Etsy tests against viewing accounts so some people still see the "normal" layout and some see the one with the description collapsed with a drop down button, and perhaps there are even more variations in the test.

Yesterday my descriptions were all the way down at the very bottom of page. Good work on that placement. Now they are under photo but this is till not an improvement as buyer has to take one more step to open up.

If every seller complained to help this would be fixed! COMPLAIN!!

Not all customers will be in the test, so most will see the normal page.

Etsy loves to runs tests and will probably argue that they do them to try and get us more sales, whether that makes sense to us or not.

They've been testing moving the description off and on for awhile.

Complain HOW? WHERE? Seems they don't make it easy to contact them.
