Hello fellow Etsy sellers!
I've recently ventured into the world of print-on-demand and have set up my Etsy store linked with Printify. I'm thrilled to share that I've just received my first order!
Could any experienced sellers who use Printify with Etsy guide me on what actions I should take post-receiving an order? Any tips, best practices, or potential pitfalls to watch out for would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help and advice. Looking forward to learning from this amazing community!
Warm regards,
Henry, CherishedSelfLove

You should go to your dashboard on Printiful or whichever POD platforms you are using and double check that the order is showing up on their end. Also make sure the customer's address is correct, etc. etc. And most importantly, double check the status of the order (i.e. is it awaiting payment from you; is it "in production" etc etc. ) Unfortunately, just because the POD platform claims to be "integrated" with Etsy does not mean that the order processes are fully synced.
My orders keep getting canceled by printify affiliates, but Etsy still expects me to ship them anyway
Etsy is telling me I’m overdue in sending something out that is print on demand with printify.
@SpiderwortStudio
You should then Cancel and Refund the order on Etsy, through the order in your Orders folder here.
What exactly is the design on the item that Printify keeps cancelling? Or, what is the item from your shop that is getting cancelled?
Also, there is a Facebook Group called Printify POD Rockstars where there are tons of members and threads that can help you. I used to be a group expert in there, it's a good group for Printify users.
You resurrected a Zombie (old) thread.
@SpiderwortStudio Have you contacted Printify to find out why they are being cancelled?
Have you cancelled/refunded the orders in your Etsy shop manager?
Since this is an old thread pertaining to a different issue it may be worth starting a new one where you can describe your issue in more detail.
@CherishedSelfLove Congratulations. Good luck. You need to add your production partner to your shop. https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000336547-Working-with-Production-Partners-on-Etsy
Be sure to read up in the Sellers Handbook on what mockup, stock images you can use for Printify and that you are following Etsy's policy. You don't want to get the bot to visit your shop during the busiest season of the year and wreak havoc, or you'll be crushed like many others. Bots don't have emotions so just do the right thing.
Be sure to read Announcements in the forums from time to time for updates. Right now there's a lot of confusion about Printify and what can be sold on Etsy's marketplace. One can only hope an Announcement will be forthcoming.
EDIT: ZOMBIE THREAD! lol
You are asking a Huge question. You should read all info on Printify before listing items for sale, so that you understand everything, including the order fulfillment preferences, shipping profiles, etc. as well as understand how selling on Etsy works first too, especially when working with print providers.
Basically, if the order is already automatically in production on Printify, it synced over and you did not have Manual Approval set, the order is in production and cannot be cancelled. It will fulfill and the shipping notice will be closed and sent to your buyer, with the tracking info, once the Printify print provider ships.
