I know sometimes updates are delayed, but I updated some pricing well over an hour ago in one category (Bowl Fillers) and the old prices remain on my shop's home page and on the category page. New prices do show once a listing in that category is opened but that makes it look like bait and switch if a buyer sees my home page first and then opens the listing (the first item on my home page is an example). Anybody else having this issue?
@PWOriginals - you're welcome. it's rather satisfying figuring out a workaround to the etsy glitches, if possible.
There have been quite a few other reports of this occurring recently. In the cases I've seen, it did eventually update, or the seller forced the update by going into the listing and making the change. The issue seems to be with Quick Edit, from the threads I've seen.
Yes, I've experienced delays, too, but nothing this long.
@PWOriginals An hour does seem like a long time. Etsy uses server side caching and some pages like your shop home page may not update for some time - your listing itself and the Listings (in shop manager) page should be up to date at all times.
It doesn't update even after weeks. I noticed this in my other shop quite by accident. Really, why would I assume something that has worked here forever wouldn't still work? I contacted etsy. I guess that's opening a ticket. nothing. no response. Yes, the only way to change the price of an item is to go into the listing and do it. Other than the built in traffic we are on our own here more and more.
@UppNorthCo I just tested your findings and you're right. I had updated prices in Shop Manager. Just changed one (altho it was already showing the new price on the listing page) through the listing itself and it worked. Now, to do the others. Geez-a-meeny. Thanks for the tip!
