New listing notifications

Hi-  

Problem-question; I have noticed that the last three times I have posted new listings they are not showing up on my notifications.  I have a personal page and a business page.  On my personal page I have (favorited) my business page which will allow me to supposedly see any new listings my business page has posted which I should receive notifications (orange dot-“new”).  I have not received any notifications on my last three new listings.

You don't receive Etsy notifications (orange dot) of your own listings. If you mean you're looking for notifications in a different Etsy account, maybe there is a delay in the notification sending.

Are you aware that if you have multiple Etsy accounts, you need to disclose them all in your Public Profiles? You don't disclose any other accounts in the Profile for this shop, so I'm not exactly sure what you're asking.

I think the requirement to disclose accounts in public profiles is only for other shop accounts?

Can I Run More Than One Shop
If you choose to run multiple shops on Etsy, you must list all the shops you run in the Public Profile section of each account. Each account must also comply with Etsy’s Seller Policy.

Classic etsy to have totally conflicting info in multiple places.  If you click on Public Profile section in your link above it goes to the following page that says more than one account (vs more than one shop)

ETA What's crazy is they have chosen to hide our profiles behind a link for the last few months anyway. How many would even notice it now, I wonder.

I have a personal account outside of my business account.  I have my business account as one of my favorites.  Normally, I receive notifications (orange dot) once one of my favorites have a sale or list a new item.

And as far as listing other accounts, I thought it was other shops, not personal account.

I would like to know when another seller I am buying from lists a new item for sale so I can be first in line hopefully.

Yes, referring to the notification I usually receive on my personal page from shops I have favorite ().  Which I have favorite my business shop on my personal page.

I have your same problem and reported it several times, I don't know but it's absolutely a contradiction because I lose but if I don't sell, Etsy loses too. I don't understand why they don't fix it.

Etsy requires you declare all accounts on all other accounts. In the case of the OP, she has fav'd her own shop with her other 'personal' account. That has inflated her shop fav's by one. I understand why she has done so but it's not really ethical and could be considered 'shilling' which is against the TOU.

I will fix this matter immediately.  Thank you all for solving an additional issue of mine….  I still don’t understand why I’m not receiving new listing notifications….  This has happened now three times.  If I’m not receiving them then neither are my customers.

I have two shops that favourite each other and it has been like this for years that I don't get new listing notifications.  I have recently figured out that I get notifications of new listings every two weeks.  two weeks!!  why etsy has made it like this is ridiculous.

Thank you for the response/info.  Interesting... I use to get the notifications all the time after I posted new items.  Lately, nothing, nada, no 2 weeks, a fat nothing!  Yea, NO GOOD for your regular customers!

The only thing I can think of is that Etsy limits how many notifications an account receives. If someone has fav'd a lot of shops, and they all add new listings at the same time ... that would be a lot of notifications to go through.
