New help request from buyer

I think messages are still glitchy.

I just got a new help request, and I responded within a half hour, but I still see "new help request" in blue. I'm pretty sure that should disappear once you respond?

I think message issues are intermittent. I responded to someone a few days ago in the midst of everyone reporting issues, and the potential buyer never even received my response. I followed up with her today and that's when she told me she didn't receive my message. I answered her question again about 15 minutes ago--now I'm hoping that she receives that message. For all I know it could be going into the ether and I have no way of knowing unless she messages me back to confirm she got the message.

Are people still experiencing issues?

I just had the same thing happen to me today, they must be tinkering around again.

I have a five message exchange with a customer, got the blue bar after the first reply I made, I send another message telling her that I shipped and got the green "good job" bar, she answered back thanking me for speedy shipping, I sent her another quick message and now it's like I've never replied to her; I'm back to the blue bar that basically looks like I've never answered her.

I'm not in a good mental place to try to send a message to etsy given their history of late making us prove that THEY have a glitch with sending screen shots and other forms of evidence.

In the other thread I already posted in there's an admin claiming that they're looking into it but that was a week ago and the problem still persists.

I had the same thing happen a few days back and the next morning it had resolved itself. I don't even bother reporting this stuff anymore. I decided to just "live with" whatever happens on here.

I did check my stats and it was counted as responded to so I just went with that.

@FunkyJunkyVintage  I mustered the strength to let Etsy know. lol

I told them y'all are makin it hard to make sales when people are asking questions and they aren't getting your answers. I should've said get your "stuff" *censored* together, but I figured I should quit while I was ahead  hehe

Still showing the blue bar with "first message from potential buyer" which is also stupid because she's a current buyer.

So, we have that glitch, then there's the spam messages that we got dinged for because replying to them made them late replies.

Oh, and the brainiac solution for us to mark legit messages as spam instead of making some kind of "response not needed" button, or what happened to merging multiple messages from the same person?

Then we have the shipping glitch that penalizes you for shipping early by making your processing and ship time shorter, somehow predicting that your package will now shoot through some worm hole and get there faster.

Then, my favorite and also another thing I'm a current victim of, they hide descriptions so we get low reviews with, "Information not provided," of some other such rot. And, of course, etsy won't remove those reviews even though it's their fault for hiding descriptions.

Why do they implement these programs only to screw them up with their experimenting and meddling which them erroneously penalizes sellers?

This problem is over a week old, at best, and has surfaced in the past, also. Admin said to check back on that other thread for updates, there have not been any updates.

Two days ago, a dude sent me 4-5 messages (all from the same account) and it kept saying the "new buyer is reaching out". It was endless! I just kept responding.

Did the message count ( to the right in the grey circle) record your responses? 

If it shows 2 or more your response has been credited, regardless of the stupid Etsy notations........

@TheCraftyLittleBug , if she is a customer you can send her an email. Her address is on the order page to the right of her name. Click on the small black arrow to find it.

The request for help I was able to email her, but the other message thread was from someone asking about an item so there was no other way to get a hold of her.

Apparently this STILL hasn't been resolved. I've got one of the "sticky" BLUE help requests now. WHY oh WHY can't etsy stop their blasted incessant tinkering???

Yes, my buyer sent me a message that went to spam and I am sure she did not receive a message that I sent her. After reading reading here someone posting about her message going to spam I decided to go take a look, and yes, there it was the message.

We seem to be talking about a couple of different message issues here, BUT, it's pretty obvious, "Messages" needs some critical technical work and revamping. 

HELLO? Etsy, can you hear me? hear me?  hear me?  hear me? ..........
