Highly recommending everyone puts this link into their vacation mode messages to spread awareness to your customers. If you aren't sure where to do that, from your shop manager go to Settings, and then Options, and then Vacation mode. Then you can edit your shop message as well as the message that automatically gets sent to customers when they message your shop. Spreading the word is all we can do to force Etsy to address the issue.

Man Katwise got hit again?
@hopeandjoystudios @It’s almost as if that poor girl has a target on her back. I posted this link in another thread earlier and was surprised to see Katwise had suffered yet another Etsy-created set back.
If she didn't have such a large following/ be such a visible large seller she'd probably still be on vacation. Regular Joe Schmo seller has less pull.
Yes, to this. Sellers should still be able to edit their "vacation" message.
Dashboard > Settings > Options > Vacation Mode > Vacation Announcement
you can through your pc
i basically said
"etsy is having a slight glitch right now.so my store has been put on vacation."
and it will stay that way until they fix it.
First thing I'm doing after this gets resolved is creating a shopify account. That way I can direct my customers to it if this ever happens again. Apparently I can just import my listings straight into shopify, I already tried it but because my account is on vacation it doesn't see the listings to import. I'm not gonna be caught with my pants down again.
i suspect they had technical problems, and they are going to just pretend like it never happened.
still having them. my own shop is still down. But hey, they said that my case has been escalated to a specialist, so there's that. how hard is it to look at my info and realize that it's the same mistake that they have running rampant?
the first post i replied to right here is gone.

I would never be so presumptive as to involve my buyers in issues related to my business, certainly not to the extent of posting published articles. A simple message saying you are unable to take orders at present and asking them to check back regularly is all that is needed, or appropriate. JMHO
To me brand is everything when it comes to business. When etsy screws up, it can tarnish my brand. I am not just on etsy, so it's important that my customers can trust my ability to provide a quality product. I want my customers to know that I am a human that also has to deal with problems that are out of my control, and customers are happiest when they have enough information to maintain trust in the brand.
