New Website Changes to Order Details

I am not a fan of the new updates that were done to the website when you click into a customer's order. I don't want to have another tab for "Delivery Info", just keep it all on the same page. Completely unnecessary change. Etsy please change this back to the older (and better) version!

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

I can never understand changes to something that works well. Seems like an unnecessary use of staff resources. At yet other simple changes like the color "rainbow" change to "multi colored" is too much to ask for. Seems like every week or so we have to make new adaptations.

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

Agreed, I'm frustrated that I have to click into a separate tab for the buyer's shipping address now - it's not a huge deal obviously but adds an extra step for the way that I process orders!

@EmilyKenneyArt "I have to click into a separate tab for the buyer's shipping address now" - that's the whole point. They want it to be harder to print labels anywhere but Etsy or an integrated label supplier.

Make busy work... besides herding sellers to etsy labels.
Frustrating

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

They are REALLY trying to get us to buy Etsy labels. Sorry Etsy, 1 click might be annoying but I won't buy your labels.

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

@CraftsmanOakDesigns - I am with you. I haven't used them since I started in 2010, and have no intentions of doing so now. Reading for years of all the associated problems for sellers who use them has convinced me completely. Matter of fact, if the day comes that we are forced to use them, I will be out the door.

Etsee wants you to buy its labels because it increases the $$amount being charged a transaction fee, that you, the seller, will pay.

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

etsy, i hope you listen bc you really did NOT improve the interface by making us click on "delivery info" extra tab just to get the shipping info! ridiculous!

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

Another vote against this change. Totally interrupts my shipping and fullfillment routine. So many extra clicks having the shipping info hidden in a tab. Plus I then have to switch back and forth to verify the order specifics while trying to enter the shipping details. Bad! Please change it back!!

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

This is crazy, the order should  contain the adddres on the SAME page. The extra click doesn't add anything, it doesn't make anything easier or whatever Etsy thought it would do. And earnings, frankly, we already know how much we earn from each transaction, this is how we build our prices.

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

I just tried to buy a second label for an order I bought one for yesterday. Had to search all around. Before you just clicked the order and could buy another. It was like a maze of clicks to figure it out. Probably won't remember next time I need to find it again.

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

Its also going to make it near on impossible to put a claim in with the postal service, as they need to see the address on the order.

I am with you! Takes opening multiple tabs to do what 1 tab did previously...

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

Not to mention that if you click on the tracking number to check status, the number then disappears from the original page. You have to refresh to even get the tracking number back!

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

Thank you for pointing this out! I sell digital downloads and up until recently when I checked on my orders daily I could see exactly what files were downloaded and the date it was downloaded when I clicked on the order number.   All the info was on the page with the order information, not a separate tab.  The separate tab has at least two drawbacks:  1.  It will take more time to drill down and click on extra tabs to verify orders and make sure customers got all the files they ordered +  2. Occasionally I get customers who say they didn't get their file(s) when it is showing as downloaded on my end.  I can screen shot the entire order with all the details in one spot to message them and point out it is showing as downloaded on my end.  This is NOT POSSIBLE with separate tabs.  It only shows the actions (downloaded or not).  I really need all the order info on one screen like it was!

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

I've been on Etsy for a long time now. Seen lots of unpopular changes.

They are not going to change it back.

@funkydreamsmosaics - Sadly, you are right! Been here a long time too, and they are pretty stubborn about sticking with their "improvements" : (

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

The new changes to the order details page are completely unnecessary, it just adds a bunch of clicks to your work process. But I just noticed a new thing that makes it even worse, on the desktop version they've removed the part where you see what date you completed the order on. It used to be pretty well hidden as it was, I used to have to scour the whole page in order to find when an order was completed, so I thought they'd be satisfied with knowing they've put extra unnecessary work on us, but now they removed it completely instead, just to make things even harder. You can see the date completed on the app, and I guess you could search your emails to find it. BUT WHY?! Why do they think it's better if we can't easily see when we marked an order as completed?!

Re: New Website Changes to Order Details

Amen!

Separating out the shipping address to another tab accomplishes nothing other than more clicks for sellers to manage orders.

Updates should reduce not increase the number of clicks to manage and process orders.

This should be reverted immediately, please.
