New Seller App Not Working Properly

I am not getting notifications on my Android phone that I have made a sale. I don't get a lot of orders so I usually just check when I get a notification. I have all the notification settings turned on but haven't received any notifications for a couple of months. I actually had orders that were late because I didn't know that I had made a sale. I also have several pages on the app that are completely black. I can see the pages online but isn't the purpose of the app to have the convenience of looking at your shop without a computer in front of you? Very frustrated!

Did you try uninstalling and re-installing the app? As well as restarting your phone?

Never rely on the phone app ... it is notorious for glitches!  Always check your Etsy shop via browser at least ONCE per day so you don't miss any orders, messages, or other important news.

Yes, I know I should check daily but I was so used to getting notifications that I took for granted they would come through. Lol

I check my shop probably 10 times a day and still didn't get an alert for a message.

Message sat there for 5 days... I only knew the message sat there because they messaged me again this morning! Thats when I saw their first message.

Im a desk top user.

Now I look like an idiot that ignored a message and my message rate dropped to 50%.

Was my first message from a customer since I opened.

No alert on the app either. I even went through the phone alerts and nothing...

I opened a tech issue thread but no reply yet.

Interesting Ive received message alerts for all the spam! LOL

I've had spotty notifications on the app lately.  You can check for latest update in the Google playstore, or Uninstall / reinstall, as suggested above.

One thing I do is go to the Notifications and toggle them off and on again - both in the app, and my phone settings.  That has been working for me on my Android.

How old is your phone? Is it possible that it's older and isn't compatible with the app?

You can always check your shop through a browser app like Chrome or Safari if you don't have a computer.

The Etsy Seller app is designed for devices running Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above, and iPhones and iPads running iOS 14.x or above.

Thanks, but I usually check my shops with Chrome on my desktop. It's just the notifications on my phone that never sound when I have a sale or message. Since I work my regular job away from home it's very helpful to get the notifications so I will know to check when I get home.

My listings show up twice in listings on the seller app.  For what they charge they should fix the bugs
