Sometime today they pushed out a new layout for the Manage Advertised Listings page. It will only show data for the last 30 days. If you try to apply a different date range, (yesterday/last month/this year/etc.) it will still only show the data for the last 30 days. In order to average out seasonal peaks and valleys, I usually look at a one year range by entering in custom dates, 30 days just isn't all that useful for real planning and tracking. Hopefully this is just the usual Etsy botching anything it tries to "improve" and not the intentional removal of other date ranges besides 30 days.
I'm having the same problem. I really need to see today's ad spend but I can only view the 30 day spend. It's really hard for me to optimize my ad budget now because I have no idea what's been spent already.
Same here;
I was having the same issue yesterday and I contacted Etsy support - spoke with the Rep who alerted the Tech staff of the issue. Hopefully it is an issue and not the new norm. I really rely on daily stats data and do not want to wait 30 days to find out that a certain item is taking all of my budget and not converting.
Also spoke to Etsy suppport yesterday - first was told I was wrong, then rep acknowledged there was an issue. Received an email today that said tech engineers were working on it.
Great that you contacted Tech support, I was struggling with it as well.
How do you contact tech support?
thanks
Rita
Hopefully it gets fixed soon!
I'm having the same problem!
Grid view takes away all of that information. You need to keep it in "list view".
Same. Glad to know others are experiencing the same and hope this will be fixed. I rely on the daily ad spend details in a snapshot. I see I can go in and look at each listing and find the day spend but the overall spend detail is important.
@CaliCocoArts - You can't contact tech support but you can contact the Etsy support people via chat on your shop dashboard.
Thanks!
I am having the same issue, I’m glad some folks have reached out to tech support. This is super frustrating.
Same issue with me.
We are also experiencing this issue. Its very important that we can filter so we can see today's/yestersays clicks - currently when we use the filter option and click 'today' we still only see for the past 30 days.
I am having the same issue. Why is 30 days any more important than today? Now I can see permanently how much money I've wasted in a month. The one day report was more optimistic.
I am surprised and disappointed that Etsy has not sent anything out to the sellers community addressing this. AND why not just revert back to the last version until they get it fixed?! I just switched listings this week and I have no idea what the effect of that has been.
Maybe we should all pause our advertising until they get it fixed, if enough sellers did that it might send a message.
@RiverwalkBeadDesigns You haven't been here long enough to know that rollouts have glitches. Not everyone who gets the new gets a glitch in using. Some just roll on just fine. And having glitches is nothing new for any business outside of Etsy as well.
Etsy never reverts back. That is not in their wheelhouse. And they seldom communicate issues when it is not widespread.
Pausing will not work the ads. I see no reason to even if the stat part doesn't work. The ads itself still works and to me that is the important part.
New and not working go hand in hand here.
I can do a date range. Perhaps I don't have the new yet.
True - I have only been doing Etsy for a little over a year.
So - are you saying that sometimes the glitches only affect some of us? Not everyone is having this problem right now? That seems odd as well.
You can do a date change but it doesn’t change the dollars spent. The stats play a big part on what I will advertise next. I have approx. 180 vintage items listed. I do check daily the ad costs on the 15 that that I rotate out once the ads hit a certain $ I take them out of the campaign. Maybe it does make sense to stop advertising until this glitch is fixed. It can’t be any worse than overspending on an individual item. Either way it’s lost dollars.
I actually can't believe more people haven't reported this. Pretty crucial to have some idea what you ad spend is going for every day.
We are still experiencing this issue ! Wrote Etsy support - said they are looking into it - I really hope this is not a permanent change as only being able to view our clicks for the past 30 days does not give us the info we require to feel confident to pay for Etsy ads.
We received this from Etsy support:
"Based on the information you’ve shared with me, it sounds like you’re experiencing an issue that our engineering team is currently looking into. I’ve added all of the details from this ticket to their on-going investigation so they have more information to work with.
At this time, we do not have a timeline for when this issue will be resolved but please know that we prioritize issues based on the impact to our members."
So, perhaps if not enough sellers are reporting this issue, it may not be their priority...
