New Listing Form

I do like some of the features on the New Form, however, there are some pretty major issues that need to be fixed before the Old Form is deactivated.

1.) One of the features that is extremely important to me (and I'm sure other sellers) is...if an item with variations is sold out, I am unable to renew the listing with quantity updates without getting the "Hmmmm" message. I was in touch with support a week or so ago and this was supposed to be an elevated technical issue. Have never received any correspondence and the problem is still a problem. Having the Old Form to workaround the problem has been helpful. If it "goes away", I will need to redo the listings which is cumbersome and time consuming.

2.) When renewing a listing and agreeing to the listing fee, rather than simply renewing the listing, I am getting a pop-up telling me that if I "Leave", I could lose my changes. I have to go into each one and double check to make sure that the listing is active and accurate. Again, cumbersome and time consuming.

Those are my major issues right now. While I have no problems with change, change isn't good if the change isn't good!

I’m having issues with the new form as well. When listing something, I’m asked the category, but not what shop section consequently, many of my new listing fall under “no shop section” in my shop. Is there a step I’m missing here? I can’t go in to the listing and move it, either. I work off the app on my iPhone.

I have the same problem (I use a laptop) - no way to choose a "section" until after it gets listed.  Then I have to edit the listing and then I can choose a section.  I hope Etsy fixes this issue.

i am not having any luck using the new variations set up.  it won't link a photo to a 2nd variation:  and it won't supply a drop down box for quantity for the 2nd variation either.  so it seems useless.  am i right in thinking any type of variation now indicates you make another listing?  this could mean doubling my listings and adding confusion to buyers .  if so, whoever designed this did it wrong.

@JeanneBenjamin  we've always only been able to have pics linked to the first variation, as far as I know.  Same with quantities.  Which listing, if you have it, and what exactly are you trying to do?

thanks for asking!  i tried last night, to add a new listing of Grape Jelly wool.  i have 2 different dyed yds of it, but was only able to post initial photo and quantity for 1 as usual.  for the variation yd, the  2nd photo would only attach to the initial.  so i skipped that and tried to add a quantity to the 2nd. . .which it wouldn't do. . . so how would i know which a buyer wants?  i've been on etsy since 2020 and many of my current listings have variations.

Been having problems with listings all week so my listings are down. It's the cropping photos. I crop them all looks good then publish have a peep at it hasn't cropped them all so l have to try edit. Doesn't work so then have to delete whole listing and start again..Took hour for 1 listing ,over and over again. I gave up came to forums but no solution. Was working ok last week but not any good atall. So my listings are seriously down .
