New Etsy form lags behind one second per letter typed, won't publish inactive listings with changes

Jump to solution

New Etsy form is so buggy!  Its display lags behind about one second per letter typed, won't publish inactive listings with changes.

These are two serious bugs that caused me to lose work because of the lag, I can't see what I typed or deleted until several seconds later.

When I tried to publish my modified inactive listing,  it said "are you sure,  changes may be lost?" Yes I clicked publish with changes.  No other way to proceed and the published listing was the old one without my changes.  Please fix!

I  can't believe the lack of basic editing has not been debugged.  PLEASE KEEP THE OLD LISTING FORM.

Same here. Trying to make new listings by coping old listings - get all the way to the end and won't publish. Can't figure out calculated postage. Can't see preview or save as draft. Useless.

Same thing today. Had to go back to old form to renew and change listings. Messages with tech said there is a known problem and I am added to the ticket. Just great.

@botanicallampshades  Are you looking for Etsy calculate it for me?  To find that, click on profile. In the upper right corner, click on new.  You will see Etsy calculate it for me.  Calculate it for me is an incomplete way of using calculated shipping.  It would be best to make a calculated shipping profile and fill in other aspects such as package preference  area.

Sorry but the new template does not lag for me.  Can't speak to the renewal.  I have had only one of those and it worked just fine to renew with the new format.

Maybe check to see if everything is in place?  Could there be something missing?  Or it may be a glitch.

One time it didn't lag, but every other time it lags badly. So it's not me because it worked once.

@ArtDollsbyJD Tonight I was able to use the new form and completed and published my listings. No glitches, no error messages, no try again, and no contact support. I am feeling victorious!

Not had any issues till this morning. I had deactivated a listing to make some changes, it would not publish the changes whilst in the deactivation section.

So I had to reactivate the listing first, then edit the changes for it to work

The lag is reduced but not gone unfortunately.  Also, I can't see the whole description with the new form. Too much scrolling with the tiny editor window.

It really is slow when writing the description. I type too fast and it is quite annoying. Honestly I thought it was my computer but I get the problem only on Etsy and Amazon.  Although I can type here on the forums with no speed problems what-so-ever!
