New Etsy Thumbail Dimensions?

Hi there,

Has anyone noticed if Etsy recently changed the thumbnail image dimensions? On my shop dashboard, everything still looks fine, but when I search for listings on Etsy, the thumbnails show up with different ratios and are cropping my images in a way that doesn’t look as visually appealing to customers.

I tried looking this up on the website, but it still lists the old dimensions — or at least what look like the old ones to me. Just wondering if anyone else is noticing this or has more insight. I’d really appreciate any info. Thanks so much!

Sometimes Etsy does tests with the photos. I wouldn't change anything until we know they are keeping the different dimensions. Some people will see these, and some will not. It's not that your shop is in the test rather you are in the test. Same with customers. They won't all see the oddly cropped photos, only those in the test view. I wouldn't worry about it because there isn't much we can do. If you change the photos and Etsy goes back to the previous way, you'll have to change them again.

Ich sehe sie auch, schon seit zwei Wochen sind diese riesigen Bilder zu sehen. Ich frage mich warum ich so viel Zeit verplempert habe um neue Fotos zu machen.  Nun sind alle in einer anderen Größe, als Rechteck zu sehen, so dass Teile einfach abgeschnitten werden und total blöd aussehen. Irgendwann muss der Test doch mal vorbei sein, ich werde keine Änderungen mehr vornehmen, dafür ist mir meine Zeit zu wertvoll.

Ugh I'm sorry you're experiencing this too. I hope they change them back soon! It's definitley a hassle to change everything. We are currently doing a revamp of some our listings right now which has been a process so once I saw this change it worried me that I might have to go back in eventually if they change this permanently.
