Is anyone else seeing a download box for "quantity" on their newly listed Instant Download Listings?! WHY has Etsy done this? Because it is a digital file, the customer is able to print as many copies as they need from the one file - this is going to confuse the daylights out of customers who will now be sending questions about whether they need to purchase the item 20 times if they have 20 invites they need to send out, etc. This is not showing on old listings, but has begun showing up on new listings.
Someone else posted this in the last few days, and I checked their store, like I just checked yours, and as a buyer, not seeing a qty drop down.
I'm wondering if its displaying it for you looking at it, because it's your item and your logged in.
never mind, just found one of your listings showing a qty drop down.
And it does something really odd when trying to add more than 1 to cart.
It gets rid of the Yes forced personalisation, tells you you haven't added a qty while also displaying the qty, and when you try to fix it, it reverts to "add personalisation".
Don't think this is a feature, think this is a bug.
@CappuccinoLace are you still seeing the qty dropdown?
What brower are you using? ETA: Did you say below that you were using Chrome too?
I'm not seeing it on that listing using Chrome on tablet (I checked both mobile and desktop versions)
@Amaradorn not seeing a qty on the listing anymore
yes, chrome on a win10 desktop.
That has always been there since Etsy started instant downloads. Not confusing at all. You sell one and then the listing auto renews.
@NanaLetha this is in the buyers view, which never before has it shown a qty drop down for a buyer on an instant download
I don't have the qty-dropdown in the listing above
(Chrome, Windows 10, Desktop PC)
Even weirder!
*note using chrome on a win 10 desktop, I'm seeing a drop down on my pasted link above*
Hopefully it is not another test - this would be so confusing AND of course also completely superfluous for an instant download.
As you said, the buyers can download the one they bought and print it as many times as they want.
It does sound like a bug. If you can I would contact support and tell them what browser and operating system you are using, plus send screen shots (this is important!).
I have seen some forum posts in the last few days where physical listings were showing as digital downloads so maybe it's connected.
It has to be a bug - I'm checking it now and it has disappeared - my daughter in another state checked from her computer using Chrome and she saw the drop down for quantity, as I was, but now is not seeing it. Very strange. I refreshed my page and it is now gone. Thank goodness!!!! They must have been doing something and it was a possible bug?????
