I've just got a new phone and trying to sign into the app, but I'm sent on a never-ending reCAPTCHA verification loop, and can't actually get into the app. I can see from searching that this has been an issue in the past but wondered if anyone had any recent experience? I also can't seem to contact Etsy to raise it...
Try logging into your shop via the browser on your phone first.
Yes already logged in on my browser. It's so frustrating! I can use the web version but I like to have the Etsy notifications as well.
Have you tried removing the app and re-installing it?
Also check to make sure that it has installed the latest updates
I've reinstalled it and had no luck. It's something to do with the new phone I think - I tried uninstalling and reinstalling on my old phone and had no problems. So weird.
On your new phone, do you have a VPN switched on?
No, no VPN switched on...
what phone are you using? I had some issues with the update when I changed my phone recently, but it did not bring up the captcha
There are several different captcha's being used;
1: where you just choose the images and click enter
2: where you click the required images, but they disappear when you click on the image and a new image appears (this new image could be a required image, so you would be required to click this again)
It's a Samsung A26. I'm getting both the captchas! Switching to audio doesn't work either. Aargh! I think I'll just try again in a few days, but thanks for your help!

Also using Samsung, it may be a glitch which is not unheard off
Also have you tried switching the captcha to "Audio" and see if that works?

A few months ago it was doing it on the desktop / PC site too. Took ages to even log into my own shop. It was torture. Hope it's not back again.
Also having issues. New phone can't get through the recaptcha while using the App, no problem bia the browser or old phone.
