Hey, I have a problem where I received two negative reviews several months ago. Since then, these two reviews have been showing up right below most every individual print listing I have (250+). These are the only one-star reviews I have in my history (I was very sad about them lol)
I thought, based on what I had previously heard, that I just had to wait for more reviews to overtake these negative ones. But since receiving these two reviews I have had 86 more reviews and every one of them is five stars. I really thought that would be enough. Unfortunately, however, these two negative ones are still shown at the top of my listings.
If my math is right, about 38% of all my sales received reviews. Of those reviews, 98+% are 5 stars. Why would Etsy bring forward these two older, one-star reviews (less than 1% of the total) to be shown first?
Having these reviews on the top of all my print listings is not only a poor reflection on my shop but on myself as a person and my honest practices as an artist. I feel these reviews are especially harmful because they make false statements, specifically about where my work comes from and how it's made. The whole thing was odd at the time tbh. Later the account that made the reviews went inactive.
Anyway, I really don't understand why Etsy is promoting these 2 awful reviews over all my numerous and more recent 5-star reviews?
I did see that there were a few other people having similar problems a while ago, I'm just very surprised and perplexed that this glitch(?) is still unresolved and I'm becoming concerned that these old reviews might continue to affect my sales going into 2023. I'm wondering if there has been any explanation since then for why this is still happening to some shops? And if there is any effective way to resolve it? Thank you in advance for your help!
