Hi all,
has anybody ever had this happening before?
Yesterday, the number of my sales diminished by 1, by itself.
I last cancelled an order on April 13.
I immediately sold the item again, and therefore, the number of my sales didn't diminish.
But now, 11 days after the last cancellation, my sales are dimished by 1, when they shouldn't be, because selling the item immediately after the cancellation again was properly calculated.
I'm mystified, and sadly, Etsy support doesn't seem to understand my question, at least, I'm not getting an explanation.
They reiterate that I am back to 2936, but ONLY, because I sold something over night, long after I noticed and reported the issue.
Has anybody else ever experienced anything like this before and what did you do?
Are you sure the cancellation didn't take a while to adjust the sales figures and then you noticed it reduce after the second sale?
I look at the numbers daily, and normally, they adjust the same day, how is it by you?
I don't look at mine. I'm just thinking maybe when you cancelled it said 454 for example, then you sold it again 455, then the cancellation went through then it said 454 again. If not, then I don't know how it could happen.
I paid special attention and as I said above, the calculation was correct...it would not take 11 days to update.
I had a cancellation in March, and I noticed that it took quite a while for my number of sales to decrease by 1. I think it was a couple of weeks.
I experienced the same thing in my shop with number decreased 3 orders. I didn’t cancelled any order.
Around 16 April I reached 3570 sales, then on 19 April came one sale and 20 April two more sales, so should shows 3573 sales. When I checked my total sales number it was only 3570.
Something happen between 19/20 April that affected this.
I contacted the chat support and they escalate the issue to the technical team but I didn’t hear from them yet.
that's very interesting to read! So I'm not the only one, and I'm also speaking with Etsy support.
Something is off!
Did you sell to a guest customer?
No guest customers.
you mean the order that I cancelled? No. It was a member.
I see 2397 sales?
I sold to a guest this morning and it added in. But I believe that I have had past guest sales and it didn't.
Sorry, it was meant for the OP!
That looks like it was just a typo, accidentally swapping the middle numbers.
2397 / 2937
I see the 2937
Sorry, typo! I meant 2937. Think I should go for a rest!
it made me smile!!! I could have done the same. ♥
When I'm running credit cards I have to check the numbers I keyed in like 5 times, I'm notorious for swapping numbers like that.
I've seen my numbers fluctuate and reset themselves ... including the same day. It looks like Etsy is doing some synching or something. I've usually noticed in the evening but not always. A sale will come in and not show, then the next day it shows.
You can check by downloading your sold orders and sold items and comparing those with your dashboard.
