My shop is closed but got a message that someone ordered? UPDATE: RESOLVED through Etsy Callback

My shop has been closed and deleted since September 2022. But I got a message today asking for help with a digital order that wasn't received by a customer. I had no open orders when I closed the shop and the message is dated with today's date and an order number I can even check because I no longer have a shop.

I did a search for my shop and there are ZERO results in Etsy search so I'm not sure what to do.

I did respond to the message stating she may be mistaking me for someone else as I don't have a shop.

Can anyone help? I can't refund something I haven't sold. I can't fulfill an order that wasn't placed. I don't have a shop.

She probably confused you with someone else, but it is strange that almost a year ago since she could have purchased it. How was she able to contact you? With all the scams going around on Etsy be careful not to click on any links. If she contacts you again ask her when she placed her order and what item was it.

I requested a callback from Etsy and heard back right away. Apparently the woman ordered from me in 2018 and did download the digital pattern. But I did offer to send it again if she gave me an email address since I can't access any of my old orders. 

Yeah, I did consider it was maybe a scam email, but the representative was able to look up the order number and the first message was one of those problem-with-the-order messages generated on Etsy's side so she didn't find me out of nowhere. 

We'll see. I had asked her to clarify her request but didn't want to wait around to hear from her which is why I asked for a callback. 

I never had a callback before. The rep was really helpful!

Some of us bookmarked the ability to enter telephone number for a callback.
