My shop does not accept PayPal

My client just reported that he can't pay for the selected item using PayPal: "Some purchases in your cart cannot be made using PayPal." .

The store is in Bulgaria, the client is from the USA.

Judging by reports in the forum from many other shops, it seems there is a problem with PayPal for shops in Europe. Because you have Etsy Payments, only Etsy can fix the issue. You can try searching for 'PayPal' in the forum to find the previous threads.

Thanks for the reply! I looked at a few other shops from Bulgaria and also wrote to the Etsy sellers group on FB. It seems that this is a problem with new shops. Now I'm waiting for a reply in the Etsy support chat, but they are not in a hurry to answer.

This has been the case for at least a year

I doubt this is a bug lasting that long,

My best guess has been it is a negotiating problem between paypal and etsy, for new sellers it is affecting in certain EU countries.

Given etsy is now closing paypal only shops in August, it seems it's even more likely to be down to a commercial issue between them

You could try asking paypal, but I would think neither will give you the real answer.

All these big corporations really don't like answering questions. Etsy support chat has been unresponsive for over two hours.
