I have been trying to contact Etsy Support almost every day to get some answers. No luck. Only couple of bot responses. I requested a call back. Someone called me and assured me that I will get a response within 24-48 hours. That was almost a week ago. Nothing. I still have $1,400 of my funds which were never transferred to my bank.
Today, I got an email from Etsy informing me that I have 8 new orders and that I have to ship 2 of them soon, and that I am close to becoming a Star Seller... What is happening? Has anyone ever been in this situation?
what is the name of your etsy shop?
BanknotesCollection
yes I found you through google
Exotic Currencies: Iraqi Dinar, Vietnam, Zimbabwe
Could you elaborate on what you mean by "disappeared". How long was your shop open? Were there some communications about issues with your shop that you might have missed?
I am not sure how you can have new orders since your shop is not available.
I also do not know how legal it is to sell 250000 iraqi dinar for $349 when it is only worth $170.
Can we sell money on Etsy?
Someone must know.
I don't know anything about what the OP is selling so I can't comment on whether his items were allowed or not. This is in the prohibited items section of seller policies.
Given associated regulations, lottery tickets, cryptocurrency mining rigs, and current, exchangeable currency and postage may not be sold on Etsy. We also prohibit the sale of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, and other securities. Handmade items containing any of these items in a usable condition are also not allowed. Collectible postage or currency that priced at less than $1,000 are allowed unless subject to legal or other restrictions. Collectible currency may not be offered as 'unsearched' or as a mixed lot of unknown contents.
@nineteen27, Etsy's legal policy states that "current exchangeable currency" may not be sold. If the currency is invalid for use, it can be sold but there are restrictions. I can't judge any compliance with these rules without being able to see his shop.
@TinLizziAntiques Which makes sense. If you're selling current, legal tender coins or currency, you're not selling collectibles; you're a currency exchange. And I'm sure there are all kinds of regulations that go with that.
My shop was opened for about 2 months. After 10 sales (100% Response Rate, 100% Shipping Rate, % star reviews), I tried to log in a month ago, and my shop was not there. There was no messages from Etsy. None.
Your shop is not present. You will need to contact Etsy and tell them that your shop is not visible at all. I just tried two ways on Etsy and it does not show up. I even searched through some listings and could not find your shop.
Thank you very much for checking. I have been contacting Etsy Support almost every day.
@BanknotesCollection "I have been contacting Etsy Support almost every day.' Do you mean that you are starting a new issue each time? What you need to do is click on a link in the original eMail from Etsy that says something like "I Still Need Help". You may need to repeat that step numerous times in each response you receive. If you start a new issue, Etsy assumes the old one is solved and closes it and puts the new one at the bottom of the pile.

how are you receiving new orders?
yes you just have to be patient... and depending on what the reason was that they closed your shop for... they can hold your money for six months.
Thank you for your responses. Yes, that is what I am trying to find out.
