Shipped an item going to CT from Arkansas, tracked the package and it was stuck in Kansas City, MO since December 19th. It is already January 12th and tracking record still says “In Transit” since December 19th. I already replaced same items ordered and shipped them, and customer confirmed receipt of the items. My shipping record is being affected gravely..and is being shown and potential customers can read them..
I cannot cancel this order since etsy will refund the customer. I think this should be looked into by etsy and should review these cases and make necessary changes to their procedures on their criteria of bad shipping records.
Thank you.

It's a USPS problem not an Etsy problem.
How is your shipping record being "affected gravely"? As long as it's confirmed that you shipped on time with tracking is all Etsy is using for your stats.
Be sure to provide licenses on your trademarked listings (Dora the Explorer, Ninja Turtles, Hello Kitty, Barbie, Minnie Mouse and more). They are a much bigger issue and a risk for your shop than one "In Transit" order.
Actually as long as the fabric is from a manufacturer who holds a license from the holder to create the fabric, then the right of first sale gives the user the right to do with it as they please. Even sell items made from it.
@PrimFun: "... right of first sale gives the user the right to do with it as they please. Even sell items made from it." Not 100% true - which judicial circuit you are in will determine the definition of whether or not the item being sold is an infringing derivative work. And that does not give the maker the authority to use any trademarks to market their item, and often specific attributions and disclaimers are required.
Sadly, judicial rulings and decisions on the issues of copyright and trademark infringement are all over the place.
If the fabric has restrictions on the selvedge, a maker cannot just ignore it, claim it is unenforceable and continue to benefit from using the fabric. It is a fairly standard contract law principle that if you accept the benefit of a transaction knowing it comes with restrictions, you are bound by the restrictions even if you never actually say that you agree to these restrictions.
While any maker should be able to use a licensed fabric to make any product they wish, as long as they follow the rules, a maker needs to be fully prepared to fight takedowns that are improper.
Plus copyright and trademark violations each have their own set of rules and supporting law.
@lilacsandmints: "My shipping record is being affected gravely ..." Are you referring to Star Seller or Customer Satisfaction statistics? If so, only 'shipped' matters, not 'delivered'.
If you mean that your shipping statistics are not showing 100%, then you need to check the applicable CSV file on your Customer Service / Star Seller page to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes. Remember that Star Seller dates / times are in UTC not your time zone.
As long as the item is in transit and does not say pre-transit then it does not affect star seller.
It does not affect being in search or anything like that.
You must have more issues since you do not have the tracking badge. Check the previous CSV to see what is going on.
