I find when I update my orders ready to ship I input my shipping number, click Australia Post and suddenly it changes to Fed Ex then when Etsy is reviewing my shipping for Star Seller its says I have not provided a shipping tracking number as obviously it is not a Fed Ex parcel. The only way around it is if I remember to go into Completed orders I have to manually edit it again to say Australia Post. You can only edit shipping information for a short time (24 hours I think after you have completed order) otherwise you are stuck with it saying that it is a Fed Ex parcel that looks like it has never been delivered.

@anthaus on the manager page, go to 'community and help', and select 'contact us' (it's the last option on the list). Follow thru and keep selecting 'shipping' type questions. Eventually you'll get a 'still need help' button at the bottom. You 'should' get a chat option. Be aware that Etsy has outsourced the 'help' so they do tend to use a scripted reply. Keep on it. Good luck

Re: My parcels seem to switch to FED EX once I input my tracking number even though I click Aust Pos
This happened to me a while ago and I missed the window to edit the carrier. I sent via registered letter and 'apparently' that combination of numbers wasn't recognised by the Etsy system. No idea why. I ended up getting on the chat and had someone look into it. The order had already been confirmed delivered by AusPost and the person I chatted with was able to change the order from 'pre-transit' to 'delivered' or the system did it all by itself with a bit of a delay. I would contact Etsy and get it sorted.

How do I contact Etsy about this as I currently have completed ordered that this has happened to? I've looked everywhere but don't see an email address anywhere?

Re: My parcels seem to switch to FED EX once I input my tracking number even though I click Aust Pos
@anthaus: You have three days (might mean 72 hours) to update the shipper and tracking number from the time you mark the order as completed https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015774228-How-to-Add-Tracking-and-Complete-an-Order-?segm...
Etsy does not have a published eMail address or phone number for customer service. If you find one on the internet it is a scam.

I think Etsy has the Fedex set as a default when you start to enter your numbers - You have to remember to check this before you click through - Has happened to me too ...

@CostumePatternTrim Even if you put in the correct tracking with the correct courier some tracking numbers the system just ‘switches’ on its own after the fact.

Good point @CostumePatternTrim - I seem to remember reading in this forum advice from an Etsy admin to select the shipper AFTER entering the tracking number.

Here is a work around of sorts without having to go to completed orders every time to change it.
When you input the tracking number first select another carrier (DHL, TNT or whatever) but don’t hit save, then immediately select the one you want and then hit save.
It’s been doing this with international tracking numbers from DHL with me. I kept having to go back to completed orders to change it like you. This was super annoying. Especially if I forgot.
I’ve had a ticket open with Etsy about this. They are aware. I provided screen shots and everything they wanted. No change for several months now. I’m not going to bother further with this with them because I can live with the work around and it’s way too frustrating and time consuming to send emails back and forth explaining and complaining.

This has been happening to me with LaPoste domestic shipping, not with LaPoste international for some reason(?!)
My way around it is to select 'other', enter the number and then type LaPoste into the additional carrier box that pops up. It works fine but I always check the completed orders info to make sure.

Check your shipping profile. See what you have entered as the default shipper.

Re: My parcels seem to switch to FED EX once I input my tracking number even though I click Aust Pos
@DesertChains I have AusPost as my shipper on all my shipping profiles. It works fine every time until that one time I used a registered post tracking number which starts with a different set of letters to the standard AusPost parcel tracking. I believe that was the trigger. The order said AusPost even after I clicked complete. It wasn't until I went back a week later that I saw it had changed to FedEx.

Actually this happens at eBay too but the big difference is that if you put in a tracking number, there it suggests the carrier based on what the system thinks it is. Then you select the one you want and it stays at what you selected. Here the system assumes you are incorrect and switched carriers on it‘s own.
Unless you use the work around as I described above or the way @KorbellLeads described it works also. Or of course checking every single order, which is a real pain.

I'm having the same problem. I lost my Star Seller and contacted Etsy and worked out my Australia Post had changed to FedEx on 4 orders (not all of them). This month I have been making sure it is Australia Post and then the next day when I check and some are Fedex. Its VERY annoying!

This is maddening that this happens to so many people, including me. It has happened to me 3 times now and has dinged my star seller status.
Come on Etsy!
