Hello, I have six orders but in star seller page, I don't see them anymore. I changed shop currency and then the orders that I had before deleted in that page. I'm not sure it is related but I cannot find a solution. Please help me.
Best regards,
Gizem
I see on your page that you have sold 6 items overall, and had reviews for 4 of them. If you think that 6 sales have come in since then, they may have been refused by the payment provider (i.e scam sales) if that is the case they would have been removed, as they were not geniune sales
OP is referring to the Star Seller Program Page, not the Orders Page.
If you change Shop Currency, the SSP Metrics for the Orders made in the previous Currency are wiped and only Orders made using the new Currency count.
There have been reports in Forums that changing back to the original Currency will "fix" the problem, but any Orders made whilst the Shop was set to the new Currency will not be added to the count.
The reason for this is that the 2 main Metrics to qualify for SSP are 5 Orders AND the equivalent of USD $ 300.00 in the 3 month Review Period.
The calculation of the "equivalent" USD is made on the Currency of the Orders and the system will see only the current Currency when performing this calculation.
Thank you for your reply. I'm really sad to hear that.
@AtelierGizmo I see you are in Turkiye. So it looks like you may have changed the Shop Currency fron TRY to USD?
There is no real benefit is setting a Shop Currency in anything other than the Currency of your Bank.
Buyers all over the World see your Listings in the Currency of their Country Settings.
But there is a disadvantage of setting Shop Currency to anything other than your Bank Currency because Etsy will charge a Currency Conversion Fee to send your Deposits to your TRY Bank.Payment Processing and Regulatory Operating Fees for Turkiye are already higher than for most other Countries and you are just adding another 2-3% Fee on top of those for Payment Account Currency Conversion.
Thank you for your reply. I changed my currency to TRY. In fact my bank account was different but Etsy wanted some documents from my bank about it. I found it easier to change my account to TRY.
There is high inflation rate in Turkey (more than 100% yearly) so it is hard to follow prices in TRY. Whatever, I will change them regularly.
@AtelierGizmo: There are many reports in this forum that changing your shop currency will reset your order count and volume to zero for Star Seller. It has also been reported that changing the currency back will sometimes restore the Star Seller data, but as @CarpetCollectionAU said having your shop currency set correctly is more important than the purple star.
Thank you for your reply.
Most of my orders came from my friends who wanted to support me. So, it was important for me that not to lose them. I hope my sales will continue
