Hello. I was sending out messages to update customers on orders and I got a message saying my messages are temporarily disabled. How can I fix this?

"I was sending out messages to update customers"
You have zero sales.
This means you were messaging POTENTIAL customers, which is not allowed by Etsy.
You are not allowed to contact people who favourite your items. You are not allowed to contact people who leave feedback on other shops.
Please familiarize yourself with Etsy's Terms of Use:
https://www.etsy.com/legal/sellers/#community
i. Messages
With Etsy's "Messages", you have the ability to communicate directly with your buyers or other Etsy members. Messages are a great way for buyers to ask you questions about an item or an order.
Messages may not be used for the following activities:
- Sending unsolicited advertising or promotions, requests for donations or spam;
- Harassing or abusing another member or violating our Anti-Discrimination Policy;
- Contacting someone after they have explicitly asked you not to;
- Interfering with a transaction or the business of another member;
- Exchanging personal contact, financial or other information for the purposes of evading the checkout process on Etsy, including phone number, address, email, social media handles, external URLs, instructions for money transfer, etc.

@Nowalhandicraft: As @PlatypusDream so clearly explained, you cannot use Etsy messaging for non-transactional messages. "How can I fix this?" You just have to wait it our until Etsy decides to reinstate your messaging privileges. There does not appear to be a set time for how long you will be muted.

Re: My masage disable
The recipients of your messages must have marked them as spam. That notified Etsy they were unsolicited messages.

Re: My masage disable
@Nowalhandicraft You say "I was sending out messages to update customers on orders" but you have no sales registered in your Shop. If you were sending Messages to people who did not actually order anything, then Etsy considers these Messages to be "Spam". Many Countries have very strict laws about unsolicited contact on-line.

@Nowalhandicraft - you have no orders so you were spamming people!

@ShopRerollAccount: You should edit your post before a moderator does. Per Community Policy "Do not use community spaces to discuss interactions with Etsy representatives, or to share verbatim extracts of such conversations ( i.e., emails, DMs or messages, live chats etc.)."

Re: My masage disable
@Nowalhandicraft: Even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
You can contact the buyer using the eMail address that is on the order.
Based on other posts, Etsy does not seem to view support requests based on user violations as a priority, and there does not appear to be a published time for how long messaging is muted and based on posts in this forum it can vary.
