For some unknown reason, almost all my listing have an "update required" red text over them. I can't see what needs to be updated..when I scroll over the notice it says something about shipping, but when i go to shipping sections I don't see any issues. Any suggestions on how to do whatever the required update is?

Do you use 'other' as the shipping carrier in shipping profiles? If so then that's the reason. It looks like they are going to force us to select a carrier and getting rid of the 'other' option.
I just now had the same issue. I updated the descriptions on several listings and then that popped up. Hopefully we will get an answer!

Everyone of my listings shows this same red "update required" warning and i have no clue what's going on. I hope i don't have to go through each individual listing one by one. Etsy can you please tell us what's happening now?
It suddenly happened to me, too.. in my other shop that's now suspended... but not my main store..
I have 2 shops....one has the fresh hell update required on 1000+ listings. My other shop does not have it. That shop, instead, has OPTIMIZE PRICES beta testing. Im going to make myself a drink and turn off the computer. Good luck yall.
Does one use fixed rate shipping and the other calculated perhaps? I think it's due to selecting 'other' as the shipping carrier. Looks like they are getting rid of that option and will make us select a specific carrier and class.

I had "other" chosen and changed it to USPS with the class chosen and changed it. It worked!

Yes, I think you are right. You are genius. It is all my print listings. I do not use Printify, but fulfill the orders myself, however the shipping is set to Other.
It sure would be decent of Etsy to tell us and not put us through this guessing game.
I use "other" too, and having the same issue.
The reason I use "other" is because the automatic delivery estimates for Royal Mail are way off, and my customers were being told they should have received their items before even Royal Mail estimated they should.
Really annoying if we're going to be forced to use Etsy's estimates now!
OK, that is it. I changed to USPS from Other and that got rid of the warning.
It's so frustrating when they do things like this. The most comical part is that they don't even have the current correct USPS shipping classes listed to select from. I don't see Ground Advantage there at all. *sigh*
@WitticismsRus This is illogical. Etsy pushes their labels and offers Ascendia Global Shipping for international, which ISN"T on the list.

Yep! Good sleuthing, I changed 1 shipping profile to remove the other and replace with USPS and checked my listings and they all still had the red "update required" then I changed ALL my shipping profiles and rechecked. Once I'd done that the red banner disappeared.
Ok this is odd. It won't let me manually renew a listing without updating the profile and getting rid of 'other' but it will automatically renew when sold. That's what I was concerned about with waiting to update anything but just got a t-shirt order and it auto-renewed just fine without me changing or updating the 'other' shipping profile. So at least I feel a bit better waiting to see if this is actually a bug or an intended change by etsy.

I was thinking exactly the same thing.
It's got to be some kind of bug from some type of malicious activity I presume.
I'm 100% sure Etsy would not make this kind of change without notifying the sellers.
As far as I'm concerned the site was under some kind of attack and there's nothing to be worried about. It will most likely be fixed soon and we should get some kind of official announcement from Etsy.

I've been selling on Etsy for quite some time, but I've NEVER had the option to choose a carrier. The only option is still "other". I don't see any error yet.
It's a little strange because after confirming that I have shipped, I can select the carrier at the shipping confirmation!!!
So I chat with support, Indeed they did remove "other". I gave them my advice and they will inform the production team. We will see what happens.
This doesn't seem to be my issue. My products come through Printify and the Shipper for this product is set by Printify as SwiftPOD. The shipper name appears in my listing and can't be changed. The Shipper profile says SwiftPOD as well. The US Shipping Service field does have Other selected but I'm not able to change that field to anything else except USPS, Fedex, UPS or DHL. When Other is selected, you cannot enter another Shipping service. So for me, this doesn't seem to be a solution. But thanks
From what I'm seeing in responses here, people just changed their shipping profile from Other to USPS - I don't actually know if Printify sends the products via USPS, or which USPS delivery timeframe they might use, but I guess if that worked for others I'll use that method. But it is still a Bug, I don't consider this a resolved issue, it's just a work-around. I hope ETSY will still look into it!
