Hello! I’m Teerana, owner of BohoCharmGifts. Recently, my original handmade crochet backpacks and storage baskets were removed from my shop, which has significantly disrupted my business and customer experience. After multiple self‑checks and supplemental explanations, I still have not received clear feedback. Below is a concise summary of the situation and my request for your review and assistance.

1. Handmade Originality Statement
Entirely Handcrafted
From initial sketches and yarn selection through crocheting and final finishing, every step is completed by me personally, with no third‑party manufacturers or bulk suppliers involved.

Verifiable Production Proof
I can promptly submit raw photos, video footage of my creative process, and material purchase receipts to confirm the authenticity and “Handmade” nature of my products.

2. External Infringement & Misjudgment Explanation
Unauthorized Image Copying Reported
I discovered that others on Instagram and independent websites had copied my backpack images without permission. I reported those infringements and successfully had their listings removed.

Cause of Initial Misjudgment
I learned that my backpack listing was first taken down because an external infringer triggered Etsy’s automated system, which mistakenly flagged me as the infringing party.

Impact on Top‑Selling Products
Etsy has repeatedly removed my best‑selling listings—links I worked hard to build and that drive the majority of my sales—without explanation.

3. Actions Taken to Comply
Post‑First Removal Updates
– Per support guidance, I added an “Add a Property” note to my listings and refined all listing details.

Second Removal Despite Compliance
– Despite these updates and no further feedback on specific rules violated, my listings were again removed without warning.

4. Request for Support
Restore My Listings
Please reinstate all of my handmade backpacks and storage baskets so I can continue serving customers.

Provide Improvement Guidance
If any listing details still require adjustment, kindly let me know exactly which fields or attributes to update so I can address them immediately.

The one unavailable from 18th May that I found is:
"Name Handmade Basket | Home Storage | Baby Shower Gifts | Baby Toys Basket | Toy Basket | Baby Name Gift"

It gets confusing because the shop uses multiple listings with identical titles.

The same Creativity rules apply for the listing, personalised decoration of resold blanks is acceptable.

Mockups for the 1st listing image are banned by the "Listing Image Requirements" policy here:

This is a forum for sellers, not for Etsy staff.  You will have to contact them directly. 

But lots of other sellers are selling the exact same things, so you have an uphill struggle to prove that these are your designs and yours alone.

What is your secret for having hundreds of hand crocheted items in your stock?

Each item I saw had hundreds in stock - that's not possible for handmade.

I started with only 2-5 orders a day, and I made them all by myself. As the orders increased, I began training my relatives to join the project. They are either older or stay-at-home moms, and even some of their relatives have joined. Everything is handmade. I even submitted the production process to Etsy, but still, no one has responded.

"You must list all of the people involved in your shop in your About section, along with the roles each shop member plays in your business." per https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015628487-How-to-Edit-Your-Shop-s-About-Section so you need to list each and every one of those relatives by name and role.

 You haven't read the creativity standards, the Item I looked at a review for, and is no longer available, is breaking creativity standards, it's nothing to do with it being sold anywhere else, or your pictures being stolen and used

That listing is still available.

"Custom Kids Backpack With Name"

Blank resold products with personalisation by the seller are allowed by Etsy's Creativity Standards, but they have to be declared correctly in the listing's Core Details.

What is a problem is the variation option of "No Design Only bag". That is not allowed unless the seller is making or designing the blank bag.

Last week this happens also to me... my bestseller listing removed for Creative Standard Violation.  I summited a two tickets to Etsy Assistance, they never reply. all my listings are designed and created by me. It's is incredible

@WoolyCatCaves   You have to look to see if your photos can be found elsewhere.  Then issue DMCA to those sites.  Then tell Etsy you have asked the photos to be removed.

There are versions of your cat beds on various sites.  Chances are your photos were stolen.

@BohoCharmGifts   Well seems rather amazing that you can make so many items just by yourself.  Are you buying these items and then putting a name on them?  That's Etsy acceptable but if these are items that can be found elsewhere then that is reselling.

If your photos have been stolen, you need to issue takedown notices.

If others are doing the same thing with personalization that may be hard to defend.

You will need to discuss this with Etsy.   We can't help as we are only fellow sellers.

All of the products are made by hand by me and my relatives. When I first started, I only had about 2-5 orders a day, and I made everything by myself. As the orders increased, I began training my relatives to join the project. Now, even some of their relatives have joined in the making process. The products are definitely handmade. I even submitted the production process to Etsy, but still, no one has responded.

The product itself isn't complicated. It involves using a yarn machine to create thick yarn loops and then using non-toxic hot glue to attach them in the shape of the customer's name onto backpacks or baskets. Initially, I did everything myself, but now some of my relatives help with the production because I simply can't handle it all by myself.

@BohoCharmGifts  What you explained in that second paragraph is how the names are added.


The question is where are the backpacks and baskets coming from.  I find it difficult to think that even a dozen relatives could crochet hundreds of things.

By the way, all those relatives and relatives of relatives need to be shown as members of your shop.
