I am writing to you for the following. It turns out that Etsy has suspended my account, but I think it was a mistake, and I'll explain it to you.
Etsy had not sent me an email explaining the reason for the suspension, but I appealed saying it may have been a mistake. But what happened immediately after I appealed, is that they responded with an email saying that they suspended my account for the following reasons:
-1) Items listed for sale don’t meet our handmade, vintage, or craft supply policies.
-2) Items violate Etsy’s Prohibited Items Policy.
-3) Shop violates Etsy's Intellectual Property Policy.
-4) The account owner’s information is inconsistent, incorrect, or closely associated with an account previously suspended by Etsy
Before explaining to you point by point, I want to tell you that Etsy's response to my appeal (appeal ID 15152863) was immediately after I appealed, not even a minute had passed (Etsy responded to me from the email
noreply@etsy.com), so no time passed enough for a real person to have read the appeal, so I gather that was an automated response from a bot, that's why I'm writing to you here, because I need a real person to read it to show them that it must have been some mistake, I believe I meet all the requirements to sell on Etsy. I ask you to please read the entire message.
I will go point by point. In point number 1, it says:
"-Items listed for sale don’t meet our handmade, vintage, or craft supply policies".
Well, my products ARE handmade, I have been manufacturing them myself in my workshop in Argentina for more than 5 years. That is, I meet those requirements.
Now let's go to point number 2, it says:
"- Items violate Etsy’s Prohibited Items Policy".
Well, I don't sell any prohibited items, I only sell lighting products (wall lantern, wall sconce, etc). That's why it seems to me that there was an error here too. You can check it yourself by viewing my paused listings.
Now let's go to point number 3, it says:
"-Shop violates Etsy's Intellectual Property Policy".
Here I also believe that there was an error, because all the images that my listings have are mine, I made them myself, and even my trademark is registered under my name in my country (Brand Property Title number 3256574 and 3256575 as provided the I.N.P.I. Resolution No. P-275/2019 - National Institute of Intellectual Property, of Argentina), I have the documentation that proves it.
Now let's go to point number 4, it says:
"-The account owner’s information is inconsistent, incorrect, or closely associated with an account previously suspended by Etsy".
Well, I believe that the suspension of my account came from this side, because I had made a mistake here in something, I will tell you below:
The mistake was that I confused the business data with the personal data, that is, instead of entering the address that appears on my document (which coincides with that of my credit card), I entered the address of the workshop where I manufacture the products, which is where I ship the merchandise I sell from, I thought they needed that information to report in the listings where the merchandise is shipped from, but then I realized that the address that has to be registered on Etsy has to be the same as the one that appears on my identity document. But I already corrected it today, unfortunately it was after my account had been suspended, but I already corrected that information today, so I ask you please if you can verify it, because now it is fine.
Any other documentation you need, ask me. I meet the requirements to sell on Etsy. I ask you please help me with this.
