My Star Seller Message Stats has gone down due to not replying to Spam Messages

Hi,

Unfortunately my Star Seller Stats for messages has recently gone below the mark, due to not replying to spam messages. I didn't realise I could mark them as spam until today (as there's no spam button in the app). I have since moved them to spam. But wondered if someone in the Etsy Tech team could please amend my Star Seller Stats to reflect the accuracy of relevant messages responded to. I don't feel that it's a fair representation of my store, and I shouldn't be penalised because I didn't reply to scammers trying to steal my information. Both emails were worded very similar. I'm surprised you don't already have systems in place to block them from messaging stores. I am a relatively small store, so each of these stats make a big difference.

Etsy has said they will not manually adjust anything having to do with the star seller program.

If you marked them as spam, they will probably drop off.

Etsy has stated they will not make any manual adjustments. It's possible that those spam messages will still fall off the metrics now that you've marked them as spam. It has been shown to sometimes work, even after the first 24 hours. However, it can take a couple of days to adjust, so just because it wasn't immediate doesn't mean it still won't change.

In the future know that you can mark messages as spam in the buyer app (why we can't do it in the seller app, no seller understands) or through any browser.

If u put them in your spam folder they it doesn’t count against you if u don’t reply.  Try doing that now for this month.  Sometimes Etsy retroactively adjusts this month’s scores.  It might take a few days to kick in.

If the unanswered new threads were not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking them as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) like you did will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two (but not retroactively) if the original message was within the current star seller period. Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.

"if someone in the Etsy Tech team could please amend my Star Seller Stats" Even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts). Also, Etsy has made it clear that they will not manually adjust Star Seller stats.
