My response rate has been declining spontaneously, which has occurred previously in my other shop as well. Clearly, there is an issue that requires immediate attention.
The issue must be rectified promptly to prevent the loss of my star seller badge without any valid reason. Thanks.
@LeButikk: Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy moderators do sometimes read and reply to posts).
Have you checked the applicable CSV file available on your Customer Service page (previous period for April 1st badges and Star) as suggested? When you look at the file remember that that the dates / times are in UTC (not your time zone), only the first message of a new incoming thread is included (all that counts for Star Seller), and a new incoming thread is not included until after the 24 hour reply window has passed regardless of when you replied. Star Seller stats (and the CSV file) are updated only once per day so there may be an additional day's delay. There is also a link to the actual message thread so you can verify if the data is correct or not.
Download a CSV file for messages and see which ones they think you missed.
Over what time period? New messages can take a day or two to show up in stats, and messages over 90 days old drop off the stat.
There has been a bug over the weekend where sellers were getting "messages" but when looked, it was old messages sent to their buyers.
These need to be marked as spam
If you are not receiving new messages then any unanswered messages (within 24 hrs) in the last 3 months will carry more weight (bigger %) in your messages metrics. Did you download the csv? How many unanswered messages does it say you have?
