My Etsy ID and date of birth do not match. How can I change my date of birth?

I made my first sale on Etsy, but my account was put on holiday mode because it could not be authenticated and my identity needs to be verified. When I researched the reason, I realized that I wrote December 19 as my date of birth when I opened my store. Although my real date of birth is December 19, my ID says January 1. I registered without realizing it. How can I fix this?

I would imagine you would have to change the ID you used to have the correct date of birth, not go about changing your date of birth on Etsy.

People don't usually accidentally put their birth date in incorrectly!  You need to be transparent at the outset as business is a legal transaction and should be taken seriously.   You can write to Etsy but I would imagine you are already considered a security risk with incorrect information.  

PS.  I wonder if starting again with a new shop and all your correct details would work or whether Etsy would automatically suspend it?  You would need a different shop name (names can never be reused even by the person who first registered them) and a new email address.  I am not advising you to do this, just wondering if it is possible.

Can you not go into your profile and change the date of birth in there and click save?

You need to change your ID, if that is the one that is wrong

if you have the wrong date of birth here, when etsy starts to report against your ssn, you could be all sorts of problems.

Fix the one that is wrong, don't try and make everything else wrong too.
